This was taken on our nature walk last month. One of the gals was complaining that this was not so much fun because her horse was short!! 😊 Thanks so much for your visits and have a good weekend

But as for evolution,
This was no solution,
And, morally, quite contentious.

This Church is atop the Hill of Tara. By day the tourists stroll through in their search of High Kings. In the evening, when they are gone, the crows take over. Cawing in their hundreds in the beeches around the graveyard. My grandfather and great grandfather are buried there.
Jackdaw is absolutely fearless in the Kenwood cafe despite of many dogs there.
Thank you all for visits, faves and comments!
There's nothing to fear.

Morning sunlight down through clouds over the pretty Utah landscape. Taken along Route 24 in Utah north of Hanksville.
There's no argument that vintage tractors have personality, and as for this one, well, look at that face! This old boy was seriously happy to see me. Seen in Mayo, Ireland.
There was no getting out of the car to take photos, I took all my shots through the windscreen and between sweeps of the windscreen wipers. Otherwise, I rolled down the driver or passenger side windows and made the most of the opportunity. In this shot I pulled into some open ground beside the road to get this shot of a flooded mountain stream. The rain and wet windscreen capture the immediacy of the moment.

It has been pouring for days here now, so several of my bridges are under water, nice and cozy picnic places are drowned, roads are flooded.
Walking with water over my boots did shorten my hike yesterday 😆

Although there are a lot of amazing villages & cities in Alsace, Eguisheim is my favourite… This is a village on the Alsace wine route (La Route des Vins d’Alsace) It is one of the “The Most Beautiful Villages of France” (Les plus beaux villages de France) And plus, It is also holder of the prestigious 4* village fleuri award, which is the highest award. (concours des villes et villages fleuris) So this street shows the soul of this amazing village….Unique architecture, history, flowers where all represent great harmony of the colours… BeNowMeHere, Eguisheim, Alsace, France, 2015 via 500px ift.tt/1ViXjUb
Nobody was working on repairing the hole whilst I was there. A chance to get some photos. This is the second sinkhole on the A26 in this area.
There was a number of Eastern Yellow Robins flitting around the Open Lawn at Forest Glade Gardens, Mount Macedon.

There is a place
Where I can go
When I feel low
When I feel blue
And it's my mind
And there's no time when I'm alone
I think of you
And things you do
Go 'round my head
The things you said
Like "I love only you"
Hello? (hello) (hello)
Is there anybody in there?
Just nod if you can hear me
Is there anyone at home? ~Pink Floyd from The Wall
Apparently there was a new game in the backyard today when I was out with the birds - "How close can you fly to the guy with the camera without hitting him." The win went to one of our Titmice heading towards the feeder, about a foot over my head. I could feel the moving air from his wings. Close second for one of the nuthatches that zoomed by, carrying a sunflower seed, right past my knee.
Photos from today, any time I can hang out in the yard in January, wearing shorts, it a pretty good day. Angier, NC. 1.10.2021
There is an almost ethereal presence of light in this Infra Red shot. Shooting into the sun produces some great results.
In darkness we cannot see, but when light fills the void real illumination takes place. Shadows are only possible where there is light to cast them. Darkness is emptiness and void. Light is fullness and revelatory.
These statements are not just "phenomenological" (concentrating on the study of our consciousness of things and the objects of direct experience - in this case light), they are also "metaphysical" (fundamental to the nature of reality). It was the early Greek philosophers who taught us to think in such ways.
But it is also significant that many stories of creation, especially in the Book of Genesis, make similar statements about beginnings:
"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness." (Genesis 1:1-4).
