Tornado touches down in a field near Morton, Texas May 23, 2022
Never seen one before but there were sure a lot of them in south Texas! Usually perches with wings opened flat. Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Center, Texas.
Beautiful structure with this tornado producing supercell I intercepted yesterday afternoon outside of Odell, Texas. This storm had one of the most pronounced radar hooks I have seen in a while. This is a 12 image panoramic using the new pano merge feature in Adobe Lightroom, finished in Photoshop CC. Hope you enjoy.
With a brand new baby we didn't get out much, but we did get out for a bite one evening. This looks like a hole in the wall kind of place, but was some of the best fish and chips I ever ate.

Lake that is not too far off of Interstate 40 in northern Texas ... a pretty spot that Ms. Krach and I stopped off to spend a morning eating a quick breakfast and to take in some nature while on our way to New Mexico. Well worth the small travel off the highway to take a break and get away from it all.
Just looking at this scene I can hear all the birds, the breeze and the smell of some camp fires off in the distance filtering in to where we were along this lake.
Unusual cropping, I know. Just wanted to show off this lightning crawler. It covered a lot of sky!

This beautiful boy was munching on grass during the last bit of golden hour down the road from where I live and I was finally able to take his photo. For those of you who are wondering why cattle is called by various names, I have included a list to help.
Calf - less than 1 year old.
Heifer - a young female who has never calved
Cow - a female who has calved
Bull - an intact male
Steer - a castrated male

this is a historical site in Santa Anna Texas, Coleman county. I couldn't find any information about it right now...not even on their website, lol!! Will have to do some research..but this was the starting point of Texas Forts Trail ..Texas has alot!!..Anyway, I'm thinking this cute structure was a depot of sorts for stagecoaches/pioneers back in the mid to late 1800's.

The Victoria County Courthouse, located at Bridge and Constitution Streets, was built in 1892 in Romanesque architecture by James R. Gordan in the style of Henry Richardson. The structure is made of Texas granite and Indiana limestone.
