Tecalemit once employed around 300 full time people, it has been here since the late 1940's. Then the WFC came and hit the company hard. Now it's employs about a dozen people, likely just administration staff to service former customer obligations. I couldn't believe the place had all but folded, I worked there for a number of years when I was younger and it was a good place to work, that was until the Multi-Nationals took over the Parent Company in England, turning it into a military like Corporation.
Just one of many places in the area that used to employ over a thousand people, now all closed! More of Godfather Mike Rann's success stories, I guess!
