Ces TBM 940 seront livrés à partir de l’été 2021 et remplaceront les TBM 700 de DGA Essais en vol (DGA EV). Mis en service en 1992, ces TBM 700 servent quotidiennement au soutien aux essais en vol (avion d’accompagnement de sécurité, plastron, soutien à la mise en place d’essais et de réceptions hors des sites de DGA EV…). Ces TBM 940 commandés seront modifiés par Daher pour intégrer de nouveaux équipements répondant à des besoins d’instruction et d’essais avec la capacité d’embarquer une grande variété de charges utiles sous chaque voilure.

Grumman TBM-3E Avenger at Biggin Hill on 2nd June 2001.

The General Motors TBM torpedo bomber was a version of the Grumman TBF Avenger as built by GM in World War II. It was the biggest single-engine warplane built by any participant in that war. Its engine is the radial Wright R-2600-20 Cyclone, which has 14 cylinders and generates 1900 horsepower.

The 2017 Ferrari F12 TDF has a 6.3 liter V12, which produces 769 hp at 8500 RPM.
