same bear as posted yesterday. He is young here and I'd imagine by now he is huge. This was taken in 2013 and if he's grown into his legs and paws, he is a boar to reckon with.
Here he is just across the river from me and I had a 500mm lens with a 1.4x on it. no crop or anything. Taken at 10:15 PM
Sethi isn't really a big cat but due to the perspective in this photo he is suddenly as big as the house in the background. I think he would like the idea. :)
In remembrance of the Unknown Soldier
Dan Barton has created and installed 101 6ft tall Armistice day Soldier Silhouettes to Commemorate the end of WW1 and 75 poppy wreathes to commemorate the end of WW2 at The Aston Rowant Nature Reserve. The Natural England Reserve can be found on the hillside at Stokenchurch, Oxfordshire above the M40 Motorway.
Dan hopes to raise funds for The Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal and has set up a Just Giving Page.
Dan hopes this installation will provoke thought as people drive along the M40 motorway to remind us to enjoy the freedom we have and to teach our younger generations to treasure and cherish their freedom and to live well. Dan believes that all that we have in this moment is possible because of those that have come before us.

One World Trade Center, towering over its neighbors, the tallest building in the United States....counting the spire, of course....
Came across a mass of mushies on our morning ramble, but this tall poppy stood out from the rest at 100mm. Hard to let go of old habits.

Light dusting of snow and tall shadows caught my eye as I drove past. Farmhouse on Wilson Road in Sussex County Delaware.

Yes, Digitalis is usually tall, but these specimens, growing against our wood stack, are particularly tall and straight.

Reed is a common name for several tall, grass-like plants of wetlands. These were seen alongside one of the Fishing Lakes at Bransholme Nature Reserve in Hull,
Another support that persistence give results. Trees are super rare on this mountain in Dalarna, but this one manages just fine.
That tall shadow belongs to a short quince...no, it's not a pear. I've never eaten one before but I'm not sure you can eat them raw. I've had quince paste so maybe they always need to be cooked first.

Found in the south west corner of Western Australia. This is a member of the T macrophylla complex and can vary from blue to white to pink. Tall for an orchid with a lovely perfume. The flowers will open if the sun is shining, especially on warm days. Flowers quite late in the season from November to January.
