044/365 - Day 44 of my 365 Photo Challenge.
Today I could only spend minimal time for my Photo Challenge due to professional requirements. Therefore my dwarf-scented lilac had to be the motif today. Fortunately, we had great weather, and the sun shone with very soft light.
I concentrated on the flowers directly, which I separated from the background with a large aperture.
The soft green in the background and the pink flowers harmonize perfectly.
Also this time I refrained from using a tripod to find the best shooting angle.
Hope you like the image!
Lilac
Any of about 25 species of fragrant and beautiful northern spring-flowering garden shrubs and small trees constituting the genus Syringa of the family Oleaceae. Lilacs are native to eastern Europe and temperate Asia. Their deep green leaves enhance the attractiveness of the large, oval clusters of colourful blooms. The fruit is a leathery capsule.
The common lilac (S. vulgaris), from southeastern Europe, is widely grown in temperate areas of the world. There are several hundred named varieties with single or double flowers in deep purple, lavender, blue, red, pink, white, and pale, creamy yellow. The common lilac reaches approximately 6 metres (20 feet) and produces many suckers (shoots from the stem or root). It may be grown as a shrub or hedge or, by clearing away the suckers, as a small tree.

I don't talk to flowers, they talk to me and I gladly listen!
This was singing to me about le temps des lilas, Spring and fresh green...?
This is NOT a crop, but a proper new composition.
For years I 'experimented' in the studio, to get that Flemish painter's light?
Well, I was born in Flanders, it must be in my blood? LOL.

WHAT PART of DO NOT USE is it that you DO NOT UNDERSTAND?
I find my images on numerous blogs and websites EVERY DAY, without my permission!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why not view the set as a slide-show?
Also I often upload more than one image at the same time, I see a tendency to only view the last uploaded...

Syringa vulgaris flowers are very attractive to many butterflies. Here swalowtail (Papilio machaon) enjoy its lunch on its flowers.

Iconic May flowers, not so easy to photograph.
In many gardens this is what you now see, white, mauve, purple fragrant Lilacs, the panicles standing proud, overtaking the green leaves!
