La paz surge siempre del centro, del interior, de las profundidades del ser mismo.

Another image from my trip to catch the sunset last night. This time it wasn't taken directly into the sun and I took two shots to make a vertorama using Paul Bruin's technique. As a result, I didn't have to work so hard to fix the exposure. I did apply a gradient from right to left to even out the light from the setting sun. I suppose that could have been done with an ND grad but then I'd also have to have one for the sky and the two requirements are 90 degrees out of phase. Have a wonderful weekend all my Flickr friends. Next image will be back to minimalist black and white in order to vary the tempo.

Choppy seas at Happisburgh

So I've been itching to shoot since I did my last set with Cecilia. Unfortunately its been nothing but rain since then and Im so done with those Cactus triggers. The good news though is that my new Alienbees CyberSync triggers will be here thursday!!! Once I get them I will really be able to get out and do more model type shooting. Holla at me me with some feedback!

So here I am sitting in the house bored day after day.. Cant take pictures.. Cant ride... So I decided to try my hand at this light painting business. Not as easy as it looks.. I found that it was much easier to do with a flashlight than with a strobe. It didnt turn out exactly the way I saw it in my head but this was the best of the bunch so I did a quick 10 minute run through photoshop to see if I could make this an image worth uploading. I guess I'll find out soon enough if I sucedded lol.

Strobist: 1 Flashlight, 60 second exposure.

This one took a lot of effort and is probably as good as I was going to get there given the nasty conditions. It kinda grew on me.

Taken this evening near Miltown Malbay Co. Clare. I used a 3 stop reverse ND grad on the sky. Shutter speed was a fifth of a second at F22.

As cold as the sea may look surprisingly with every surging wave came a flood of warm air due to a rather warm current and unique weather pattern. Mist floated throught the air targeting my camera lens which made it difficult to get a clear shot.
