I wasn't sure what to do today, at first. But then I was inspired by the Future Me site to send myself a happy greeting, so I'll remember how awesome this month has made me feel. I'm going to have it arrive on New Year's Eve, because that's the day I had my first surgery, which saved my life. When I woke up (barely) in recovery, my doctor told me, "It's New Year's Eve - the beginning of your new life." So that's always a special day for me.
I know I've said it before, but this month has been life-changing for me. I never expected to be this comfortable with showing myself to others, with taking photos of myself! Nor did I expect to meet so many new friends, to find such a beautiful community. I feel blessed, and honoured, and positively joyful.
If you haven't done it yet, come find me on Facebook!!
This is a picture of my wine-tasting score sheet. You will note my preference for lighter, whiter wines. And my indecisiveness in giving half-points.

I am not really sure what is protruding from the neck of this Great Blue Heron, possibly something he tried to swallow. About a week later I saw this same bird in about the same place and the protrusion was still there. the bird seemed to look a little weaker and less active than he was at the time this photo was taken.

"Plz Make Sure the Door is Shut. Kthxbai"
I can only enjoy the LOLcats thing up to a point, since bad spelling makes me cringe. I assure you that Steve and Lilith -- the kittens who are likely to jump out of this door if it's not shut -- are more literate than they might appear to be. When they say "Kthxbai," they mean it ironically.
