Years ago I made a vegetable garden - in our very first house. I've always wanted to get back to growing veggies - in fact I tried a few times but wasn't very successful. Having retired earlier this year meant this would be the year I'd try again. Due to Covid-19 I find I'm spending more time on local social media sites and found out there's a local seed house - I ordered these and can't wait to get growing. These are in addition to seeds i already purchased. I've also cleaned out our neglected for 2 years veggie bed, and dug a new bed to transplant the rhubarb into. The veggie bed is big enough to help support our family and others through our community food box. Doing something to help makes me feel good. #stayhomestaysafe #togetherapart

The 45EPIC landscapes and goddesses are straight out of Homer's Iliad & Odyssey!
I'm currently updating a translation with the Greek names for the gods and goddesses--will publish soon! :)
"RAGE--Sing, O goddess, the anger of Achilles son of Peleus, that brought countless ills upon the Achaeans. Many a brave soul did it send hurrying down to Hades, and many a hero did it yield a prey to dogs and vultures, for so were the counsels of Zeus fulfilled from the day on which the son of Atreus, king of men, and great Achilles, first fell out with one another. " --Homer's Iliad capturing the rage of the 45EPIC landscapes and seascapes! :)

With support from the Kiwanis Club and the Parent-Teacher Association, Randolph Lee Clark (1871-1941) began promoting the idea of a junior college upon his arrival in 1923 as superintendent of Gainesville's public schools. In May 1924, the city council authorized the creation of a college as part of the school system. The two-year institution opened the following September in the Newsome Dougherty Memorial High School Building. Initial enrollment at Gainesville Junior College was 32, with ten students in the first graduating class of 1926. World War II stimulated the development of an aeronautics program, and returning veterans took advantage of the college's first night classes. The curriculum initially consisted of academic courses that would transfer to four-year universities. Eventually, vocational and agricultural training programs, a division of continuing education, and cultural enrichment courses were added to expand the college's offerings. In 1960, Cooke County voters approved the separation of the college from the independent school district. In the ensuing decade, enrollment surpassed 1,000, and the campus of Cooke County Junior College (as it then was known) grew from one to eight buildings. Known as North Central Texas College since 1994 to reflect the school's presence beyond the boundaries of Cooke County, this institution is significant as the oldest, continuously operating, public two-year college in Texas. In 2000, it opened new campuses in the cities of Corinth and Bowie. (2001)
Los Angeles, CA - Visiting Los Angeles after living their for about 17 years was odd, crazy and surreal. So many People. It was a lot of fun but I was glad to get back home.
Taking pictures through glass is a challenge, especially all those finger prints and nose smuggles created by curious kids and inquisitive Dads.

Again, another picture from work. Just can't stop seeing images. I was told to get a count of these cylinders and send them back to the manufacture because they were out of tolerances. I started to stand them up on my red work table so it would be easier to count them. While I was standing them up I began to see a pattern appear. Counted and the break buzzer blew. Ha now is my chance (legal)! I rearranged them a little and snapped a few shots.
This one came out the best, a little cropping and tweaking in P.S. and this is what I came up with.
What do you think?
We're kinda late to the party but better late than never right? :)
Supporting recasts is no way to thank the artists who put in a lot of their time, effort, skill and imagination to give us these dolls that play a big part of our lives as ball-jointed doll enthusiasts.
So give these awesome artists some love and go #proBJDartists. :)
President Gjorge Ivanov of the Republic of Macedonia addresses the education pledging session at the Supporting Syria conference.
The Supporting Syria conference delivered commitments to support 1.7 million children in education across the region.
BACKGROUND
The Supporting Syria and the Region conference is taking place in London, today on 4 February 2016.
It brings together world leaders in a bid to raise the money needed to help the millions of people whose lives have been torn apart by the devastating civil war in Syria.
Syria is the world's biggest humanitarian crisis. Billions of dollars in international aid are needed to support people caught up in the conflict.
The UK, Germany, Kuwait, Norway, and the United Nations are co-hosting the conference to raise significant new funding to meet the immediate and longer-term needs of those affected.
The conference is also setting ambitious goals on education and economic opportunities to transform the lives of refugees caught up in the Syrian crisis - and to support the countries hosting them.
This event alone cannot solve all these problems. Ultimately a political solution is necessary to bring the Syrian conflict to an end.
