'Lego Man' has been on this bridge support pillar on the A580 East Lancashire Road now for many a year now. He always raises a smile when we pass and no doubt children of all ages will look out for him when heading down 'The Lancs' be it in a car or on the bus.
However, with the works for the new Guided Busway taking place round these parts, with a large 'Park and Ride' car parking area being constructed across to the right of this shot it is feared he may be lost when the contractors are finished.
Part of the ongoing mission of the New Mexico National Guard’s 64th Civil Support Team (Weapons of Mass Destruction) is to continue a working relationship with local first responders statewide. In order to fulfill this mission, the team members offer training to firefighters, hazardous materials professionals and other law enforcement and emergency technicians. Approximately 20 people from Raton Fire Department; Miami Volunteer Fire Department; City of Angel Fire, Fire Department; and volunteers from Union, Harding and Colfax counties participated in the weeklong event June 1-5, 2015. I am so glad to be able to launch my (facebook) page today with the celebration of the NHS. On my cycle across the Tamar today I happened to see this amazing light display being setup by Mass Affect Lighting at the Tamar Bridge and Torpoint Ferry Joint Committee. I took the opportunity to photograph this display of gratitude to the NHS and all our frontline workers!

The two little dancers on stage were just about frozen, but someone in the audience knew the moves and was giving them some hints.
A large group of well over 100 protesters gathered to voice their concern over what they perceived as police brutality and to listen to activists and local citizens speak about the pressing issues of the day. Some passing vehicles at the busy intersection, known as Joliet's "Six Corners", honked their horns and gestured signs of support and solidarity to the participants.
