Ten things you don't know about lil ol me!
Addendum: I will be truthful, but i will not make the mistake of revealing something that could indirectly hurt someone i care about again. So don't expect anything really shocking.
1) The house I live in is not my home. My home is a townhouse inside which a very pretty girl named Gina now resides.
2) Somehow, i am starting to accept my hair. Ever since i was in gradeschool, i have wanted my hair to be black/dark brown, long, and straight as a pin. It is the exact opposite-bouncy, curly, uncontrollable, and ornery. But I am learning to love it. (I still don't understand why people want volume in their hair. Ugh.)
3) I live in my awful, ugly, raggedy blue terry cloth robe. My mom hates it.
4) When i grow up, I want to work for PETA, but i don't have enough school. Associates Degree < Bachelor's. :(
5) I am confident I have the most ugly toes in the known universe.
6) My mom sold my car, Priscilla (I don't drive, but the principle is the same), to my neighbors, who, two years later, killed her and had her towed away for scrap. It takes everything in me to keep from keying the fuck out of their arrogant shiny new Jeep. PRISCILLA IS NOT A CLUNKER, you assholes. She was two years away from getting her ANTIQUE PLATES, and she ran like a goddamn Corvette!
7) Favorites! Flower: Gerbera daisy and orchid. Happy CD: Van Morrison's Moondance and Cellofourte's Combustion and Flogging Molly's Swagger and Green Day's Int. Superhits. 8) I want my books and poetry to be published, but i am too afraid of publishers/critics/readers/family/anyone on earth reading them besides me.
9) I am a part-time insomniac. Some nights, i sleep like a baby- maybe half an hour to get to sleep. Others, it takes from 2 to 5 hours to fall asleep, if i can.
10) I can type 60 words a minute.

Zarin is India's first Indo Persian restaurant, located in the beautifully picturesque Fairmont Hotel, Jaipur. The restaurant itself is spread over a huge space, with amazing views. The private dining room, where we ended up dining, is also quite opulent and special.
Our meal began with Mahi Zameen doz and Tabriz koftey. The mahi doz was sublime. It was a great piece of fish, marinated in amazing spices and then wrapped in a leaf and baked to perfection. It was like having a great European baked fish, elevated by subtle spicing.
Next came tabriz koftey, which were chicken dumplings with typical Persian nuts in a light onion broth. This again was a marvellous dish with spices making their presence felt without overpowering the taste.
There were a number of interesting accompaniments - chutneys, salads that made the food taste even better.
The chef was kind enough to get us the superhit of the day, the grilled lamb chops. The quality of the lamb, New Zealand was special along with the amazing marinade. Imprtantly, they were quite juicy inside with a perfect char on the top.
The best veg dish of the day was kasare pukhtan, which was a paneer dumpling in a sweet pumpkin gravy. I would have liked a little more spice to balance the sweetness of the dish but it was still quite palatable.
Another unmissable dish here was the atta raan, which was a whole leg of lamb sealed and cooked in a dough covering to keep it wonderfully moist inside. I've had many raan(s) in Delhi but this was raan - fine dining, delectable indeed.
I ended my meal with a plate of fresh fruits and some Iranian desserts along with a traditional Persian chai, that was really milky and a little heavy to end your meal with.
Indo - Persian is a fantastic concept that needs to be explored by everyone more often so that one can appreciate the subtlety and flavours here. Zarin is a stunning place to begin that journey. Not only is the setting opulent and beautiful but the food itself can make you wanting to come back for more every time.

In our age where "new media" and expeditions fuse ever more seamlessly together it is important to be able to generate material to share online that is both interesting for the viewer and simple to produce. I am interested in combining photography with one-take audio clips (so that no editing is needed and so that the end product retains authenticity over polish) and making audio slideshows.
I like using Flickr to host these as the videos there are limited to 90seconds. It concentrates the mind and is short enough to fit with 21st century attention spans!
Here, I have combined 90 seconds of my stream-of-consciousness commentary from my walk through India with vaguely relevant photographs. There are obvious flaws: there is no particular story and the images do not match what I am talking about. However I made this clip as an experiment just to see how quickly I could put together something to give a flavour of a day on the road. This piece took 10 minutes to make. What do you think of it?

Whooa Pawan Kalyan and Trivikram in Nithiin Pelli Koduku function : The Young actor Nithiin and Shalini Kandukuri are all set to tie the knot on 26th July 2020 at the prestigious Falaknuma Palace hotel in Hyderabad. The soon-to-be-couple- Nithiin and Shalini has kick-started their pre-wedding festivities with an engagement ceremony that took place on Wednesday and it was followed by a Mehendi function on Thursday. On Friday, Nithiin revealed that his Power star Pawan Kalyan and Trivikram Srinivas graced the ‘Pelli Koduku’ function. China Babu, the prominent producer of Haarika & Hassine Creations, was also present on the occasion.
Nithiin thanked to Pawan Kalyan, Trivikram Srinivas and Chinna Babu for attending ‘Pelli Koduku’ function.
It is known news that Nithiin has worked with Trivikram Srinivas for the superhit movie A..Aa in which he shared the screen space with Samantha Akkineni.
Meanwhile, the photographs of the Mehendi function are also out. The bride Shalini was clicked with the well-known fashion designer Neeraja Kona on this occasion. Neeraj Kona shared a couple of photographs from the Mehendi event.
Due to lockdown guidelines issued by the government, the marriage of Nithiin and Shalini is going to be a close knit affair with only family members and a few friends in attendance. Pawan Kalyan and Trivikram Srinivas are expected to attend the wedding.
