Sunset view in December 2005 ...

Plant silhouette in front of the setting sun.

Kamaole Beach I park, in South Kihei area, was one of our favorite evening spots to watch the gorgeous Maui sunsets and add some colors to our vacation.

Another summer day end in a blaze of colors

Passerby, like me. Aren't we all just passerby’s so

A setting looking to the southwest while taking in views across ridges present at the Crescent Rock Overlook. This is in Shenandoah National Park along the Skyline Drive. My focus in composing this image was the sunset lights present in the skies with the colors varying from reds to purples. I therefore decided to angle my Nikon Z8 Mirrorless Camera downward, bringing the horizon lower into the image. I still liked the nearby ridges and how they some foreground interest but kept them more in shadows to keep more focus on the lights and colors in the skies above.

Some very volcanic evenings lately as the seasons change.

This is #Dublin

Another park in Oswego, Illinois prior to sunset. From here, I raced to the next spot to get the sunset over the freezing waters of the Fox River that I posted yesterday.

Taken from our hotel room balcony in Amari Phuket in Andaman Sea!

Phuket's beauty really does leave a lasting impression, especially if it's your first time! The views, the beaches, and the vibrant atmosphere all make it such a special place.

AUVERGNE🌞

Not that early, but early enough on a holiday. Taken at 7:44am this was a wonderful foggy view from the viewpoint at Saint-Quentin-sur-Sauxillanges🌞

This one is made of 2 pictures🌞

It Is Said That Nothing Is Going to Last Forever

I’m just glad for the time I have now

Let the mysteries come

The confusion reign

The sun rise

The sun set

A new day begins

And then it ends

Another work of short poetry or prose to complement the image captured one early evening around sunset in the area around International Falls, Minnesota. The view extends to the west looking along the shores of Rainy Lake. Other than aligning myself up to more or less center the sun in the image, the rest was moving around the shoreline until I could find a look with that to complement the lake waters in the right hand portion of the image.

I chose to work with Camera RAW HDR merge tool to better bring that complete color setting in the image. I later exported a TIFF image to DxO PhotoLab 9 where I did some final adjustments with contrast, saturation and brightness for the final image.

Under the vast blue skies of Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh, local fishermen cast their vibrant, colorful nets into the largest sea, weaving a daily tapestry of tradition and livelihood. Each throw of the net tells a story of resilience and connection to the sea, capturing the beauty of their way of life. The vivid colors of the nets against the deep blue waters create a stunning contrast, embodying the harmony between nature and human effort.

A cloudy day cleared out one hour before this shot

After a full day of rain, this beautiful sunset was seen. With the view from Miglberg over the Attersee and Wachtberg.

While taking in a sunset along the shores of Rainy Lake in an area around International Falls, Minnesota. This image extends to the west as I took in a view of the sun setting off the distance. Here the sun happened to go behind clouds around the horizon, so the light present is behind those clouds. I later worked with control points in DxO PhotoLab 9 and then made some adjustments to bring out the contrast, saturation and brightness I wanted for the final image.

A view looking to the northwest across the canyon and gorge with a setting sun at the Sunset View overlook in Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. Not wanting to blow any highlights from the sunlight, I metered the exposure and shutter speed to that. I chose to work with Aurora HDR Pro to better bring that complete setting in the image. I could make adjustments in the shadowed areas of the canyon and remove any color cast. I later exported a TIFF image to DxO PhotoLab 3 where I did some final adjustments with contrast, saturation and brightness for the final image.

An Elevated Escape into the Breezy Night

I was hanging out at People’s Park in the Sky in Tagaytay, soaking in the tropical vibe and refreshing cool weather that comes from being up high—even in summer. As I relaxed there, the sunset lit up the sky with bright oranges and yellows, and a steady breeze made the whole moment feel easy and natural. The scene was simple, with lush greenery framing the view perfectly, and it was just one of those wonderfully unpretentious moments.

It was around 5:32 PM when I reached Tagaytay People’s Park in the Sky; my wifey, baby girl, and friends had already gone ahead on the path, so I ended up mostly alone with just a few strangers scattered around. I walked up the gentle slope, framed by branches above, and paused to watch the sun streak orange and purple across the sky, just taking in that simple, calm moment before dusk fully set in.

A sunset seen at the beach in Vlissingen, the Netherlands.

Caspersen Beach is one of the best shelling beaches in the area and an excellent spot to find prehistoric sharks’ teeth! There are nature trails traveling through freshwater and saltwater marshes, mangrove areas, and tidal flats, and excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing.

Data originated from the following website:

After days of staring at screens and chasing deadlines, I needed a reset. So, I grabbed my camera and made my way to the rocky beach, hoping the sunset would offer something worth capturing. As I set up my shot, the sky was already shifting—warm tones spilling over the water, the pier stretching out like a quiet path into the evening. The textured rocks in the foreground added depth, framing the scene just right. More than just a photo, this was a moment to breathe—to slow down and take in something real before heading back to the noise of work.

Lake Saimaa, Finland

On our day at The City of Wine in Bordeaux we ended up on the eighth floor in The Belvedere where we were treated to a small tasting of wine and a magnificent view of Bordeaux. From here you can see the Garonne, the Pont Jacques Chaban Delmas, and the city of Bordeaux. We were there for the sunset which made for a lovely view.

AUVERGNE🌞

An other sunset at the same viewpoint at Saint-Quentin-sur-Sauxillanges. As you can see I walked up there a view times🌞
