This is an HDR that I took last year in November. it was a cloudy and partly rainy day. My first plan was to take a picture of the setting sun in the background, but the clouds prevented that, the sky still looked amazing so I took an HDR like this instead. Low tide also helped make a nicer background without the risk of blurry wave movement.

I am running through a lot of my old photos and finding ones that are worthy of editing and uploading here.

This is a Double HDR made of 4 different exposures....one detail enhanced HDR, one tone compressed HDR...combined in Photoshop CS2...along with levels and curves layers. I never wanted to use a frame before for my photos, but I found for this particular shot it would be nice not to include the text and copyrights into the image itself. Final color editing was done in Lightroom.

Snow-capped mountains stand majestically with clouds hovering low, partially obscuring the peaks. The foreground is covered in a dark, lush terrain, contrasting with the bright sky that transitions softly from pink to blue. Tongariro Crossing, New Zealand.

After walking through Victoria Chinatown, we decided to have some Korean deep fried chicken for dinner; it was one of the best fried chickens I had in British Columbia. The name of the restaurant is Chimac Korean Pub & Fried Chicken. I really wish they actually open one location in Vancouver haha....

Before we head back to Swartz Bay Terminal, we stopped by Ogden Point Sundial to enjoy the sunset. I had to rely on my steady hand, IBIS, and luck to get this shot. I always think that taking photos of waves are pretty hard as every approach wave is very different. Even with the same camera setting, you can get different result depending on how fast the waves are approaching. After multiple tries, I think I got the shot I like :)

This was one of my unplanned subjects. I had just gotten a haircut and I saw how beautiful the sunset was on my way back home, this mosque is a 5 minute walk from my home. So I decided to park the car, get my gear down and take several shots (bracketing). The results are 4 RAW images which were combined in Photomatix to create this. The rest of the work included noise reduction and color enhancing in CS2.

I still have a problem with really bad noise in shadow areas in my HDR shots, still not sure why is that but I try to keep them as low as possible in the final shot.

Солнечные деньки сейчас редкость, но закаты всё также прекрасны. November sunset in St. Petersburg. 24.11.2019

Applaud my act, so few notice my existence and view that as fact - My appeal lies in bringing back dreams of the surreal; behind this clown lies the endurance to withhold a frown...yet, I am given no spotlight to bow down...

I love the autumn landscape across Shropshire. This is one such view looking across the bog with Corndon hill in the distance.

Week 5/52

Sometimes I really dislike my brother. Like today. We fight over stupid things. Like pie. We're both unrelenting and stubborn. He knows just how to get under my skin. Boy was today bad. I was even thinking of how I could return his Christmas present that I bought a month in advance. But, at the end of the day, he's still my brother. I've become a lot closer to him since I've been home and it's easier to see his redeeming qualities amongst his frustrating habits. One day, he'll be all I have, and I couldn't ask for a better person to be my brother. I guess you can say I'm pretty thankful.

I know this isn't all that special technical or conceptual-wise, but it doesn't matter. I'm doing this project for myself.
