Taking advantage of the final October Camp, Mt. Rainier and the the last sunset did not not me down. For two minutes I couldn't set the camera down. Had a hard time picking the focus and framing. Lots to work with, time not so much.
The cliffs that take lives from the sea and the North Head Lighthouse that tries to save them on the long dark nights.

Now they stand to remind us of times past.
On hot, humid summer evenings, the breeze and marine air of the river at the end of the pier are quite pleasant. During weekends, numerous tourists walk all the way out and take snapshots of the scenic Palisades Mountains, the Hudson and the new Tappan Zee Bridge. (and each other, of course).

After the first snow of December 2011, this was the scene on Saturday 10/12/2011 high in the Staffordshire Moorlands part of the Peak District, not far from a village called Longnor. This HDR image was taken about 15-20 minutes before sunset. No doubt there'll be lots more snow to come up here this winter.

Thor's Well, the endless heaving of the tide, time slowed down, in the last minutes of the fading glow. The shape of the water takes on a new spirit-like form as it falls back into the depths of the rock from were it came, in its return to the sea for the resetting of the cycle.
