Sunflowers are from my wife's rock garden and the butterflies are mine :) We have always admired the large sunflowers and we are hoping to get some seeds for eating if butterflies don't eat them all :) This is our first attempt to grow some. Picture taken in our backyard. I don't do too many flower and insect macros but just had to take one for my wife :)

Taking a break from the Alaska pictures to slip in this one I took last night.

I found this place about 30 minutes before sunset. As I was pulling in trying to find a place to park, a huge thundercloud pulled up over me and it down poured for about 15 min. Funny thing was it was still sunny in one area so I knew it wouldn't last long.

If you look closely you can see a few of the raindrops on the petals of the leaves. The sunflower field was on my bucket list and finally found a field to give it a try.
