This shot was taken around 20 minutes before sunset. I liked the way the clouds hid the sun. ND filters 2,4 and 8 stacked for around a 20 second exposure.

Sunset casts its reddish glow on the shores of Half Moon Bay in northern California where this surfboarder has just completed his last wave of the day. "Sunset surfers", as they are sometimes called, are those whose daily jobs keep them away from the beach during the day. But, as soon as the quitting bell rings, they pack their boards into their cars and are off to catch a few evening waves. In the evening, when the crowds thin out, floating out on the water is relaxing and can soothe away the stresses and hassles of the day.
