The Santa Ynez valley is filled with amazing Oaks on rolling grassy hills. Unfortunately, so much of this if private property and it's often difficult to line up shots from roadside. I found this one along Armour Ranch road and got off a few shots just before the sunset faded.
Using my kit lens which i never use with ND filter just as the sun was going down over the horizon simple :)
Maui Island, Hawaii, sunset from the Kalahaku overlook 9324ft altitude (2842m.), Haleakala National Park. A few minutes before sunset and tonemapped , HDR'ed, and cooked.
Peace...is seeing a sunset, and knowing who to thank.

Just got back into the States and am posting images from the trip. The first several images will be this Great Seto Bridge. The image was taken from the sunset to blue hours at Seto Inland Sea National Park which is located about 3.6 miles from my parents' house in Okayama prefecture Japan. This is basically where I was born and raised.
The Great Seto Bridge (瀬戸大橋) is a series of double deck bridges connecting Okayama and Kagawa prefectures in Japan across a series of five small islands in the Seto Inland Sea. Built over the period 1978–88, it is one of the three routes of the Honshū-Shikoku Bridge Project connecting Honshū and Shikoku islands, and the only one with railroad connections included. At 13.1 kilometers (8.1 mi), it ranks as the world's longest two-tiered bridge system.
