During a school trip in the last early April I overnighted in Cinquale, a lovely town on the Tirrenic costline of Italy. I went to the beach just in time to take some photos of this wonderful sunset.

A sunset from early this year, the sun setting down Glen Etive, lighting up the mountainside and reflecting in the river Coupall.
Taken on the way back to Edinburgh after spending a super day in Aberdeen. Not sure which estuary this is, from the map I think its the Firth of Tay. The train ride is very scenic.... loved it. Alice was happy with what Aberdeen University has to offer and I'm pretty sure she will be working hard to make sure she gets the grades she will need.
So this may not be my last trip to Aberdeen!
I have taken many,many sunrise,sunset pictures.
This is my favorite and I almost missed it.

Taken on January 2nd of this year, this was one of a big series of images taken during an epic nature walk with Lisa and I's parents (who were both in town and staying with us for the holidays) before we took them to a very nice dinner and drove them all back to the airport.
This was a magical evening; an incredible sunset, nice temperatures (although it does look cold here it was fairly warm), the dogs were having a blast, we saw various wildlife (deer, a beaver, a muskrat, etc), and we had a really good long walk, too!
A great night full of fun memories, and a perfect way to cap off our Holidays!
p.s. - Note the tiny one third full moon far up above the sunset clouds...
Simplified version of the sunset (7.10pm) taken from a speeding bus. A bit blur due to low light. Forgot to adjust the ISO but the colours were wonderful! Didn't noticed the bird until I processed it!
