Bathed in sunlight and the scent of lavender, the women of Il Lavandeto di Roma revive a timeless elegance. With delicate lace, vintage hats, and radiant smiles, this scene could have been painted by a Romantic-era artist. 💜🎩

Captured during a special day among the lavender rows, this portrait celebrates grace, tradition, and the pure joy of dressing up to honor beauty — both natural and human.

"The wheat field has ...poetry; it is like a memory of something one has once seen. We can only make our pictures speak." - Vincent Van Gogh

A bunch of Go Go dancers hook up after the show!

September by the river a few years ago. Last days of the official summer.

In reality September is already autumn here.

This is a beautiful place for nature walks in all seasons.

In case food insecurity ;-)

From a little monster on my cabbage ;-)

The cabbage was covered with protective fabrics but the caterpillar still managed to get under it and left me a few hearfelt love declarations.

Summer, Mountains, Friends, Camping, Moonset and a bright Milky Way in the sky - this Image truly is a love letter highlighting all the magic of a summer night. Its an image that inhers and mirrors all my dreams of a post-lockdown summer with my friends far away from urban banality.

The mundane beauty of the Austrian Dolomites, as seen from a tiny alpine hut in the mountains of the Lesach Valley. It’s a calm place filled with precious secrets, adventures and wilderness, while being constantly wrapped into breathtaking and permanently changing views you never get tired of. From the recent trip to the garden center.

These flowers were a beautiful sight.

Another green, organic salad from the balcony.

Rocket lettuce, iceberg lettuce, mustards, cucumber, sugar snaps and basil.

All homegrown from seeds.

One of the reasons why I love this time.

Harvest from balcony one August day.

Yellow squash, peppers, chillies, tomatoes and cucumbers.

There was something to havest every day in summer.

Grown from seeds. The seeds were mine, too, saved from the last summer's flowers.

The flower of endive lettuce.

Right before unexpected early freeze which killed the tomatoes, peppers and other warm loving plants.

But the cool climate plants like celery are still doing well even though it's already November.

What better way to celebrate it than taking a look back at my little container garden last September.

It's amazing how much food it's possible to grow in such tiny space.

It's only about 8 sq meters or 86 sq ft.

Nature is amazing.

This natural garden growing by the railway is full of beautiful wild flowers and it looks wonderful.

Nobody is tending to it but nature itself.

Poppy Parker Summer Magic. Reroot, Vanelg1.

And some herbs, too.

The container garden in July.

Have already been harvesting some of them for several weeks - celery, cucumbers, chillies, parsley, summer squash, leeks, beets and mint.

They are all delicious. So much better than the ones from the store.

The tomatoes are still green, they are always late here.

With vegetables and herbs.

And a little bit of flowers - marigolds and carnations.

Did NOT kill the cat.

She is alive and well.

And curious.

Young bell pepper forming on its plant.

With a baby bell pepper forming in the middle.

The water for the little garden must be carried from upstairs down these tricky metal stairs.

But on the way back up the watering bucket is filled with fresh organic harvest.

That's just a part of the reward.

The main reward is the joy of the gardening itself.

They are early this year, I had already 3 or 4 of them and they are delicious.

So much better than squash from the store.

I don't know what they do to those vegetables from stores to make them taste so bland compared to the homegrown ones.

I like this type best simply cooced in the pan with a little butter, salt and pepper.

Organic leeks this summer.

I used to think that leeks were a bit boring and only used them cooked in soups and other hot dishes.

But that was before I started growing my own organic ones.

The difference in taste is huge.

Homegrown organic leeks are delicious and I enjoy them raw in salads.

The landlord has allowed a couple of tenants to use a part of the shared lawn in front of the apartment building for gardening.

This is one of the two mini gardens there.

This method of harvesting celery increases the yield of it dramatically.

You harvest the biggest, oldest sticks and let the rest of the plant continue growing.

It will then continue to produce more and more celery until winter.
