Staff from the Central Library brought their Rollin' Beats Music Lab to the East Lake Branch Library to show the group of Girls Inc. ladies how to create and mix their own digital music. They were an enthusiastic and engaged group, and we believe we have a few musicians in the making!

During the North Avondale Branch Library's program Boots, Books & Cowboys, professional cowboy Todd Morris demonstrates to participants what life is like as a cowboy.
Free books were available at the program courtesy of the Literacy Council of Central Alabama.

This summer many of the Avondale Regional Branch Library's families tracked their minutes read with the on-line app, Beanstack. And WOW, just WOW! Avondale Library youth and teens read a total of 151,484 minutes! Congratulations to these Beanstack winners, generated from readers that completed at least 400 minutes of reading!
