This is my husband paddling back out the harbor towards Lake Michigan passing the Emerald Isle docked for the night.
My neighbor found this snake in her pond. He jumped out of the bushes begging for food when she went out to feed her fish. Of course, she called my son, the local wildlife relocator to catch her new little friend for release far far away.

Whilst wandering around Bristol's little neighborhood side roads, had some fun looking into closed shop windows - seemed to be work going on in this one! Wonder what it will be when all the renovations are complete......

this picture was taken about half an hour before one of our more unpleasant summer moments, wherein a yellow jacket stung Jonah on his lip. It swelled up tremendously, and he had never been stung before, so we were anxious about whether or not he was allergic. Fortunately, a doctor was in attendance, and it turns out he isn't allergic. The lifeguard, a family friend, applied some medicine, and all was soon well. Except he talked funny for an hour or so while his lip was swolen.
