Whoever came up with the idea for pool noodles was a genius-so cheap, practically garbage, and yet so wonderful and awesome and fun.

A house for relaxation on the shores of a sea, is a thing to possess. Rich Cairenes and Arabs from other parts of the region buy or rent such houses for summer so that they can spend the season with their families or according to their heart-desires. I'd like to have one of those!

I ask you, is there anything funnier that wiggly ears or more tragic than a forehead in hand?

Rotary Express Train. Village Park. Kannapolis, North Carolina.

This is the model train which runs through one of our local parks. Today (Memorial Day) is the first day of the new season, after a long winter nap. I was fortunate enough to capture it just as it emerged from the station on its first run.

From the park’s website :

The Rotary Express Train is a g-24 scale replica model of an authentic CP Huntington. The original CP Huntington was the first locomotive purchased by the Southern Pacific Railroad, carrying that railroad's number 1 engine. Huntington used the locomotive beginning on April 15, 1864, during construction of the western portion of the First Transcontinental Railroad in North America.

Our CP Huntington is number 262 of the 320 that have been hand crafted. This train has a history of serving families in the New Orleans, Louisiana area and was moved here just two weeks before Hurricane Katrina.

The Kannapolis Rotary Club donated funds for Rotary Station. Mr. J. Carlyle Rutledge, a longtime member of the Kannapolis Rotary Club, also generously supported the project and requested that the train go by the name Rotary Express. A coach is named in honor of Martin Marietta for their generous donation of stone that was used in the installation of the track.

Assateague Island, Maryland. Memorial Day 2006.

A lot of children who have to be dragged in hot summer to admire Millenium Park, get to have fun themselves.

This was my contest entry for plasticpop's AnimagiC picture contest that had the theme "summerfun". To Marie relaxing/sleeping outside is all the fun she needs :)

I'm gonna be a bit inactive in the near future because I'm currently moving and don't have a lot of internet access :(
