Da sind Berge. Leicht zu erklimmen?

The last light on the beach at Gordon's Bay near Cape Town, South Africa. These rocks on the beach look like real mountains, right? almost relaxed to climb over them – but they were quite sharp-edged in some places ;-)

Trip to South Africa. /// Reise nach Südafrika. /// Cape Town, Gordon's Bay
Lots of flowers to be found by the river still, the pink clover seem to have a good year. As I so often do, I've used a wide aperture for the soft little dreamy feel.
jedna priča ostaje ispisana u dugoj ekspoziciji.
📍Šilo, otok Krk
As the day slipped into twilight,
a fishing boat returned home — not in silence,
but leaving a glowing signature on the sea.
A soft line of light across the waves —
like a dream briefly remembered.
The sky above hums in deep hues,
while distant lights on the island gently breathe.
📍Šilo, Island of Krk
Die Silhouette von Lank-Latum an einem Sommerabend.
(Vintage Yashica ML 1.9 50mm on Sony A7RIII, Bl.5.6)
The summer and the village. The silhouette of Lank Latum at a summer evening.
(Germany)
The photo was taken ten minuets and forty two seconds after the sunset. Date and time: 2014:06:23 00:10:42. The sunset in Reykjavik was few minuets after midnight, 00.03 and the sunrise was. 02:56. In Iceland the sun hardly sets down during this period. The summer solstice was three days ago and every year it amazes me the almost absence of the night.
Hlif
Evening sunlight on the River Twiss at Ravenray Bridge on the Ingleton Falls Trail near to Ingleton in North Yorkshire, England
In Thought, Facing the Sunset
Silence at Tiha Cove, Šilo. Sanja and Srećko, quietly and gently, become part of the summer enchantment. Sunset brings more than light — it revives memories, unveils soul’s stillness, and offers space for thoughts. Silhouettes do not reveal all, yet enough for the heart to understand.
There's still a place,
That once you called your own
Not a war zone, not a funeral home
Silent, no more music no sound
Under the moonlight in a small town
Guiltiness rest on their shoulders
So for the wicked man, his days are numbered
Rest indeed, rest in peace.
//Alborosie//
To all those who have lost their lives, been displaced, or gone missing because of war, everywhere.
Da ist ein Loch. In der Welt.

The Eagles / Hole in the World
/
There's a hole in the world tonight
There's a cloud of fear and sorrow
There's a hole in the world tonight
Don't let there be a hole in the world tomorrow
They say that anger is just love disappointed
They say that love is just a state of mind
But all this fighting over who will be anointed
Oh how can people be so blind?
(refrain)
Don't let there be a hole in the world tomorrow
Oh they tell me there's a place over yonder
Cool water running through the burning sand
Until we learn to love one
Another we never reach the promise land
(refrain)
Don't let there be a hole in the world tomorrow

Trip to South Africa. /// Reise nach Südafrika. /// Cape Town, Gordon's Bay
Another roe buck searching for food in the mist. He was trying to locate me from the sound of my camera, which I used to my advantage in the low light. I would take a photo, have the shutter sound grab his attention, then quickly take another one before he began moving again.
An einem Sommerabend auf dem Sonnenstein im Thüringer Eichsfeld. Am Horizont kommt der Regen, wie so oft im Sommer 2025.
On a summer evening on the Sonnenstein mountain in the Thuringian Eichsfeld region. Rain is on the horizon, as it often is in the summer of 2025.
Melbourne skyline in early January. I took a lot of shots this particular evening with its fabulous sky, clouds and colour. I posted some others earlier. I really do need to get out and about again though and find some more inspiration for my photography as I have not had a great deal of late.
When we see a sunset we usually think of the end of a day. But at the same time it is the beginning of a new night.
This summer evening in northern Denmark was beautiful: with the perfect temperature, you could experience a silence that is hardly known in a world dominated by humans.
Summer seems to have arrived early in Britain this year. It's not generally regarded as the best time in landscape photography world, but the winters are wet, cold, windy and seemingly endless around here, with only a few fleeting months of warm weather where we can enjoy the outside world at leisure. I'm prepared to live with the flat bland skies to be able to live in the sun for a while.
In the picture, my partner Ali catches up at last with her niece and the 4 year old great nephew from whom she's been almost inseparable since birth. While we're quite content to have lived in our own space for more than two months, she's definitely missed him.
Summer - keep it coming!
While walking outside this evening I met this older couple sitting on the bench and spoke a few words with them. They were enjoying the evening's sunset which as usual was lovely over the lake. They looked so happy and quite romantic.
