“The darkness that surrounds us cannot hurt us.
It is the darkness in your own heart you should fear."

Who the hell would let that happen to his/her car? However worthless the car might be!
Messed up the framing. The darned autorickshaw driver wouldn't stop! So what if we were in the middle of the road with about 200 cars honking away behind us? Not to mention another few hundred approaching from the front.
Anyways, I'm taking a break now. Getting a little suffocating around here. Just need to sit back and watch from the sidelines for a while. Yeah, kinda like the car up there. Just sit back, watch the other cars go by. Though I'll take a bath once in a while.

Another from my shoot yesterday. Also part of my "bold on white" set.. even if I have done red before and this is from another shoot which is in it. I think they look different enough.
self suffocation: the act of suffocating oneself.
Not a good photo, but tells a now common story of old trees competing for air in cities.
Hiroshima, Heiwa boulevard.
Efforts are now underway to try to save it.
In relation to some things that happened roughly a month ago. I'm still adamant, I'm still angry, I still feel insulted but what is there that I can do about it? I am in an "Asian society" after all.
Dedicated to my former colleagues and the airline employes in general. The economic crisis hits the airline industry as well.
From my visit to Civil Aviation Museum, Athens Greece.

Week 48
I hear the angels calling, can you send one down?
I see the demons crawling, everywhere around
Can you pull me out from the mess I've made
Before my lungs collapse and there's no turning back?
I need breathe
Before I suffocate
Before it's all too late, before I die this way
I need to breathe, before I sleep away
But there's something left to say
Can you help me I need to breathe
I need to breathe

[50/365]
I've made it fifty days into this project? Wow, I am actually surprised. But I still have 315 left, woot. I am seriously getting to the point already where I am too lazy to take photos lol.

An allegory for the 365 project?
In reality I've got a series of photos planned that I will make good use of this mask.
Shame it gave my face a rash and my eyes started stinging, next time I'll buy a new Russian gas mask and not go second hand...
My Best Of 2013 set is here
Strobist - YN560II right on 16th power, another left on 1/128th. Both at about 45 deg to the camera (could have been more to be honest, would have meant less glare to PS out of the eyes)
Number 83 for 114 in 2014 : TV show or Film
This reminded me of The Lord of the Rings
I accidently set my camera on the smallest picture size in the middle of this outing, so the quality is poor.

And if you're still breathing, you're the lucky ones.
'Cause most of us are heaving through corrupted lungs.

Collecting names of the lovers that went wrong
The lovers that went wrong. -- lyrics by Daughter
For the "Magritte Inspired" assignment in photography.
Purely inspired by Karl Marx’s theories on alienation.
“The less you eat, drink and read books; the less you go to the theatre, the dance hall, the public house; the less you think, love, theorize, sing, paint, fence, etc., the more you save-the greater becomes your treasure which neither moths nor dust will devour-your capital.
The less you are, the more you have; the less you express your own life, the greater is your alienated life-
the greater is the store of your estranged being.”

Somewhat abstract.
It's been hard getting back into the routine of 365s but I'll get the habit back soon I'm sure.
29th of februari is here! (not often you get to say that!) The challenge theme this month was Trapped.
My initial thought this month was to experiment with plastic and chains to create a feeling of being stuck… but it got a bit darker and weirder than I thought it would. This picture is a bit out of my comfort zone, but you have to leave it sometimes right? I also have another photo from this shoot that I quite like… but I don’t think I will post it, at least not now. It’s too far away from my comfort zone at the moment. One step at a time!
I really loved what Kajsa wrote for her picture this month: “I still really love how it turned out in the end even if it wasn’t what I first imagined, it rarely is anyway right?” So true my friend!
Kajsas picture has been out for a few days but if you haven’t seen it yet go check it out! www.flickr.com/photos/kajsaeriksson/49582977818/in/datepo...
I like how we both unconsciously did the opposite of what we use to this month; I went to the dark side and she went with the light.
You can find all my photos from both this season and last season in my albums. Kajsa has also created a collection with both of our pictures from the challenge, check it out here: www.flickr.com/photos/colourproject/galleries/72157713252...

She's suffocating.
Just wants to run.
Hide.
So she can just be."
