"There are certain kinds of deaths that one should not be expected to re-live, certain kinds of connections that are so deep that when broken you feel the snap of the link inside you.“
Playa Los Lilenes, Papudo, Chile
The price of over-development is when, in the name of money making, we destroy our beautiful environment. Tourism is an aspect of that. I can't think of any better example other than the view of Waikiki's skyline. A small island in the middle of the pacific ocean, that feels like you are in the heart of Manhattan. the beauty of Oahu attracts millions of tourists every year and so the need for .... rooms resulted in building those multistory hotels. Oahu has it's own natural jungles, it also has a man made, an artificial.. one that is much less beautiful..
"Oh why are we are waiting so long, I'm suffocating
Oh why are we are waiting so long, I'm suffocating
Boy it's now or never
Time we get together
Been a long time coming, now I need that loving
I like the way you tease me
But let's just make this easy
Put me in control
We can switch roles
And I take the lead
You're so far behind me
You know what I need
I'm not gonna stop
Whatever the weather
We gon' be better together
So what's up baby?
What about us?
'Cause I've been watchin' and waitin'
Why don't you give it or take it?
So what's up baby?
What about us?
Watcha doin' to my head? (Na, na, na, na, na, na)
Should be here with me instead! (Na, na, na, na, na, na)
What about those words you said? (Na, na, na, na, na, na)
What about us?
(What about us?)
Oh why are we are waiting so long, I'm suffocating
Oh why are we are waiting so long, I'm suffocating
I love to hear you whisper
Take it take it lower
Don't be 'fraid to show her, what you freakin' do
'Cause we can do it nightly
You get me excited
Now it's my turn (yes it's my turn)
So give it to me, why are we waiting?
I know what you need
And I'm not gonna stop
Whatever the weather
We gon' be better together
So what's up baby?
What about us?
'Cause I've been watchin' and waitin'
Why don't you give it or take it?
So what's up baby?

You know what I need
(Na, na, na, na, na, na)
Put my mind at ease
And Tell me what about us
What about us"

What's to say?! Heard you got ruffed up!
Once again, you get left behind! Check yourself!
Don't get it twisted! Write yourself a formal goodbye!
Fukt yourself! Don't get it talked up!
Got no quaims with taking your life!
Quick to judge! Quick to get tossed up!
Dig yourself a formal goodbye!!

Lava flowing into the waters of the Pacific Ocean at sunrise. No matter how many times I have photographed the sporadic lava flows on Hawaii’s Big Island, I’ll never not be fascinated by watching an island grow right before my eyes... followed by watching my waistline grow before my eyes while eating some of my favorite food in the world. Hawaii never disappoints.
This image shows several fingers of lava flowing underneath a large plume of steam and gas while the molten lava underneath the water breaks away, floats, then creates steam on the surface of the ocean. It’s a truly otherworldly sight to behold.

that feeling of despair, loneliness, helplessness and breathlessness all wrapped up together. The feeling never lasts, eventually it unravels around our head, giving us new breathe and new life. The adventure to get there can be daunting and unsettling. But keep your eye on the prize...it's one grasp...one breathe...one moment away.
Ok...enough deep stuff! Obviously a series of a lot of emotions coming out! Hopefully this makes for better photography! Cheers everyone!
You know what’s cool? Jumping on a private boat with a bunch of your tour guests bragging about how you don’t get sea-sick. You know what’s not cool? Spending two hours on rough seas looking through a tiny hole in a camera and getting sea sick. I’ve since learned to take breaks from sticking my eye into the viewfinder while on a boat... for my stomach’s sake. Turns out even the most seasoned seasoned sailors will get sick from looking through a lens on the water. I’d never been sea-sick until the morning I shot this image of lava and steam on the coast of Hawaii. Just another example of Mother Nature keeping my ego in check. ⬇️

Day Seventy-Two: February 22nd, 2007.
I can't seem to catch my breath.
I'm suffocating.
I've been feeling this way for a long time but it's been worse since coming back from Atlanta.
Pretty soon, something's gotta give.

Jaguar cleaning Itself as it lays in the shade along the shore of the Cuiaba River.
Jaguars are the third largest of the four big cats. It has a sturdy build and usually weights between 125 and 200 pounds. It can reach up to six feet long and stand at about 2 and half feet at the shoulder. Its coat has a tawny brown base and is covered with black rosette spots.
Jaguars will either crush and suffocate and victim or bite straight through his skull. It prefers to stalk and eventually ambush its prey rather than chase it. Then it pounces from a prey’s blind spot. After the kill, jaguars prefer to drag their meal to a secluded spot to eat. They are carnivores but will eat almost any kind of meat.
Leopards and jaguars are both big cats that are similar in appearance.
Leopards live in Asia, Africa, and the Middle East while jaguars live in South and Central America.
Jaguars are larger and stockier than leopards.
Jaguars can kill their prey by cracking their skulls while leopards kill with a suffocating bite.
There is always perfect light,
Within that silent darkness,
But the red apple you choose to bite,
Will leave you empty and heartless.
Temptation rules the mind,
And reason bleeds the soul,
It's your choice to see what you cannot find,
And listen to what you have not been told.

i think we all feel like that sometimes... like we can't breath either literally (in my case) or metaphorically. how many times has each of us had our creativity stifled or our voices dulled by life or those around us?
some learn to live with it and some break free!
