Brittani actually bought me sushi for a change, which was exciting. To thank her for that, I'm posting this picture of her as my picture of the day. So I guess I'm an asshole?

Subzero temperatures - 3-4 layers of clothing - back-breaking back-packs - breath taking views of Everest and Kanchenjunga - a bit of snow fall - a dip in ice cold stream - sliding down a frozen stream - running downhill enthusiastically - resting every 100 mt climb ;) - 85 kms of trekking along Nepal, Sikkim and West Bengal - rocky-muddy trail with patches of grass in between - Way to paradise ! Some things cannot really be described in words, this trek was one such experience!

Second Life holiday parties was an incredible mix of trance, dnb, electronica, dark psy, goa, minimal, proggy, acid, experimental, industrial, noize, tribal, jazz, live music, country, blues, reggae, salsa, classical, opera, and Christmas music. I heard it all and then some.
I love music of all kinds. If it's good, it's worth listening to, so don't start with the nose-up-in-the-air over your favorite genre. Believe me... good music will always find an audience. An audience of sophisticated listeners will stop to listen to any good sound... even if it isn't part of your normal repertoire.
What is amazing is that dj's and musicians around the world know this, and they borrow from all genres to create their own personal sounds.
Here in Second Life, we get the results from around the world. World music mixes with the trendy sounds of the day, and we get the sounds that we love so much.
I want to thank all the dj's, musicians, club owners and event makers in SL. You guys made a holiday scene like no other. APPLAUSE & BRAVO ::::
Special thanks to you <3:

For a while I've been wanting to make an actual movie poster, a realistic one. I've been afraid to do one for so long because I didn't think I'd be able to but here it is ladies and gentlemen. After almost a week I can proudly present the 3D Version of my previous post (3D glasses required)
2012 SubZERO Festival, San Jose, CA.
This was shot using my Nikon FE SLR with a Nikkor 50mm 1.8 lens. It was shot on Kodak Portra 800 film and scanned with a Canon CanoScan 8800F using a Lomo DigitaLIZA film scanning mask.
SubZero Festival 2013. Black Lotus Clothing is a collection of unique, hand-sewn pieces originally inspired by the SF Bay Area's Fusion belly dance scene. What makes Black Lotus unique is the care that goes into making each piece. Our creations are rigorously stitched, torn, disassembled, screen printed, dyed, revamped and artfully tattered.. Details like beads, buttons and feathers are carefully placed, and every garment is a one of a kind original creation. The end result is a creation that serves a purpose as well as tells a story.
