I didn't park my Subie here to get a good picture. I parked to walk down a nearby trail and when I walked back to the car I thought "WOW"!

The 2nd gen Forester is quite rare in China.
It was officially imported in China by Subaru.

We had no trouble staying far from others.
After owning this car for barely a week, I've already put 900 miles on it. All of it was filled with smiles :D

We went tent camping at Frozen Head State Park from Saturday, April 26th through Monday, April 28th.
Saturday evening we had: Ribeye Steak, Idahoan Mashed Potatoes and canned corn for dinner.
Sunday morning I heated up Banquet Sausage links and Great Value Egg makers. We made Breakfast burritos with some Shredded cheddar cheese and pickled Jalepaños.
For lunch, I made Pudgy pies (campfire pizza on white bread; with Pizza sauce, Shredded Mozzarella cheese and Pepperoni slices ).
And for dinner we grilled Chicken breast, Shrimp, White onion and Peppers. We made fajitas.
I captured a time-lapse of the charcoal grill heating up (fuel burning off the charcoal briquettes), two slow shutter clips of our campfire and a star trail of the tree canopy and night sky.
Monday morning we packed up our camping gear in the car. Then we hiked from the Panther Run Trailhead up to DeBord Falls and back to our Subaru. Then we drove home!

The Forester was launched in 1997, it started as a station wagon car that slowly transformed into a SUV. All models are 4x4.

Here's a fun one from my recent trip. I was shooting stars and rocks in the Alabama Hills and returned to my trusty Subaru, who we've lovingly dubbed "Ruby," to see some great stars reflected in the hood. Had to snap off an exposure.
We went weekend tent camping at Indian Boundary Campground in Tellico Plain, Tennessee. Left our house around Noon and arrived at the campground around 4pm (made a few stops along the way; Arby's, Food City, Walmart and Cherohala Skyway Visitor's Center ). We did get some on and off rain late Friday evening and through out Saturday. It cleared up on Sunday before we left to head home. We got lunch at Iron Works Grille and stopped at the Charles Hall Museum & Gift shop before driving home.

Quite a big seller Worldwide yet only sold in tiny numbers here in the UK is the Subaru Forester. In fact i'm surprised Subaru still bother with the UK and haven't pulled out like Mitsubishi have done recently!
Glad to see Matchbox model it though and predictably did a fine job considering the ever more strict cost constraints imposed on it.
Seen here in its debut metallic green finish which did briefly appear at Tesco at the time and now two years later at Poundland.
Mint and boxed.
If you visit a French Action store and head to their small diecast section you tend to only find 1/34 scale Welly, Hot Wheels twin packs and nasty HTI Teamsterz generics. If you know where to look down an adjoining aisle you'll also see masses of Matchbox in Power Grabs boxes. At the equivalent of just 1.00 each you could be forgiven for thinking they would be old batches sourced from the Far East.
In fact they are usually of the freshest releases which makes them an absolute bargain! Predictably I did buy rather a lot of them as the UK is still stuck on early 2023 batches where these are Case G!
Loving this new Subaru Forester recolour which despite initial appearances is actually a very dark green metallic.
Mint and boxed.
Lots of duplicate purchases of mainly 2023 Case G releases thanks to European Action stores selling them and selling them cheaply and selling them in large quantities. Lots of carryovers from Case E and F too though as none of those assortments have arrived in the UK it was certainly no issue.
Another fantastic stock looking Subaru Forester recolour, nicely proportioned and well detailed.
Mint and boxed.
When you find brand new Matchbox releases for half the price you would pay for much older batches here in the UK then you fill ya boots! ;-p
European Action stores have for some years sold Matchbox very cheaply and even in these internationally inflationary times they haven't gone up much in cost. Hardly any weak castings in 2023 Case G and explains why so many models like this Subaru Forester came home with me.

Unsurprisingly (and luckily!), I didn't see a single other vehicle.
