Christmas Day, 1983 was brutally cold in the Chicagoland area, with an overnight low of -17 degrees F and a daytime high of -5F. The Milwaukee Road was still running trains though, and SD40-2 23 leads a westbound onto the C&M subdivision at Tower B17 as the train departs Bensenville yard. A maintainer is working to free the frozen points on a turnout so a pair of units on the hump job can pass.

quite similar to what I posted before :P

Sub zero temps and a little wind reminded me what it might mean if I slipped off the edge of the pier. Lake Michigan creates some pretty amazing ice on it's piers and lighthouses.

Offer a fairly unusual and inhospitable feel to the local canal.

Using the same exact body as Scorpion, I built this BigFig of the frosty opponent Sub-Zero. Of course I swapped the yellow pieces for medium azure blue, and built a custom ninja head in lieu of the previous BigFig's skeleton head.
