I can't quite work out why I often have the urge to photograph fruit with cutlery given that I don't usually use it for that purpose. This week's efforts look great but a bit brutal at times:)

Auf einer Serviergabel steckt eine Cherrytomate geschmückt mit Thymian von unserem Balkon! Mmm lecker und so gesund!
On a serving fork is a cherry tomato decorated with thyme from our balcony! Mmm delicious and so healthy!

I put a cherry on a fork for this week's Macro Mondays' theme.
This cherry is a variety called "Satonishiki" of Japan, and the diameter is 0.8 inch.
For this small cherry and the group rules, I shot using a smaller fork.
Well I was ahead of the game this week. Normally I work today but was not feeling the vibe this morning so I called in sick.

Tried to keep it simple for the MM theme this week. First came out the peas, but they were baby peas (how cute!) and too small. Not enough presence, even for a macro shot.
So I resorted to the old blueberries, which luckily I bought over the weekend. Nice to see the berries still around in winter.
But we do seem to conjure up produce at all the wrong times of year now. Humans fiddling with nature again.
I've been watching a documentary this evening about Australia's extinction rates (which are absolutely appalling) - a depressing scenario which governments here seem oblivious to, and no doubt will result in thousands more of our beautiful animals and birds being wiped off the face of the earth. Nothing to do with MM, but just a frustrated observation about Things Which Could Be Better But Aren't.
As for the photo with the berries, the bluest one sits on a little cake fork, hence the slightly thicker prong or tine on the right. Shame there was no cake instead...
