1. I wanted to dedicate this week to my Dahon Hon Solo, which helped me commute in dignity and style; Dahon Hon Solo, you are my favorite hot weather bike.
2. Speaking of hot, it's been a steamer in Washington, D.C. and I think it's making people act weird; hardly anyone is outside, but those who are zip around like out-of control dragonflies.
3. I was looking at one of the posts in the group, and it mentioned the concept of social circles and sharing; it stuck with me, and spurred my own contemplation of my circles and the level of intimacy (or lack thereof) within them.
4. Felkerino and I are heading for the hills this weekend, and I am feeling so much warmth about our upcoming anniversary (happening soon!); I have the best guy for me, and that's a happy feeling.
5. Still trying to take care of myself on multiple fronts, but that seemed to involve more chocolate today than I planned... oops; back at it tomorrow, I suppose, but it sure had my taste buds popping with joy.

Maybe more Stockport style prawns, but it is at least all my own work. No jars of things were involved in the making of this dish.
All the five kids above are younger than 2 years 9 months - because that is the age they go to kindergarten and this is clearly a nursery/daycare set-up.
So figure this: the daycarer has this special pram that could theoretically seat all five kids (they would wear a harness to keep them from climbing out). But the little guys, in rubber boots and all, clearly prefer to walk. Now, I have no clue how the daycarers do it, but all Danish kids (including Elliott) are trained to hold on to the pram when walking around. Elliott will grab any buggy or shopping cart bar he can hold on to and then diligently hold on to it.
It is perfectly safe and the kids are really good about it . Plus it's supercute to watch! ;-)

Ride in style, ladies. This vintage cruiser is for sale. It's an AMF Skyrider Deluxe Roadmaster (approx. 1967).
Never thought I'd let go of her, since I'm emotionally attached. But we're moving to Northern California, and a different bike makes sense. This isn't the fastest bike on the road, but may very well be the sweetest. Whenever I go on an Assault Ride or a Denver Cruisers ride, the bike gets lots of love.
Downtown Denver. Asking $150.

In 1962, David Bailey was a 24-year-old British photographer embarking on his first foreign assignment, a New York shoot with his then girlfriend, model Jean Shrimpton. He received some instructions: “Remember, you will be representing Vogue, so do not wear your black leather jacket in the St. Regis Hotel.” Nice try. Shrimpton remembers that “when we arrived at the airport, we were both dressed completely in leather.” Hardly surprising, considering they were the tremors causing Swinging London’s fashion and music youthquake. In fact, Antonioni used Bailey as his inspiration for the lead fashion-photographer character in his legendary document of the period, Blowup. Bailey penetrated the world of high fashion with a combination of balls and fearless style: fur-lined coats, tight trousers, and perfectly tailored suits. Iconic as Bailey’s photos became, it was usually the man behind the camera who was the most striking subject in the room.
