got most of my stuff up even though it was a little cramped.
I stood back looking at this and what came into my head was: 'what style is this stuff?' -I have no idea.

This was done while visiting my folks in India at my village in Tanjore, India.
Pictures shows the deep frying on a wood fired stove to the final texture of the samosa, simply heaven. We had it with lamb trotters soup also called as paya.
The samosa contains a maida flour shell stuffed with some filling, generally a mixture of mashed boiled potato, onion, green peas, spices and green chili;[11] The entire pastry is then deep fried to a golden brown colour, in vegetable oil. It is served hot and is often eaten with fresh Indian chutney, such as mint, coriander or tamarind. It can also be prepared as a sweet form, rather than as a savory one.
In South India, samosas are slightly different, in that they are folded in a different way more like Portuguese chamuças, with a different style pastry. The filling also differs, typically featuring mashed potatoes with spices, fried onions, peas, carrots, cabbage, curry leaves, green chillies, etc.. It is mostly eaten without chutney. Samosas in South India come in different sizes, and fillings are greatly influenced by the local food habits. Samosas made with spiced mashed potato mixture are quite popular in the South Indian states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu.
Here’s Carmen, my Spring Into Style Fashionista with limbs spliced in from a playline Wonder Woman and MTM doll hands. I swapped out the legs by using hot water and it was a relatively easy mod.
I added in the forearms by cutting off the original forearms and drilling into the upper arm to accept the WW arm pegs. I then did the same with the wrists to give her wrist joints.
While I would love Mattel to make curvy bodies that are jointed I’m tired of waiting.
I love holidays! Happy Chinese New Year!

I’ve had these neck less and leg less Swappin’ Styles dolls for ages, hoping I could somehow fix them but I realised I hated the molding on the top and rather steal the arms for better dolls.
I shoved a pair of needle nose pliers into the neck hole where the bust part fits in, then wiggled around until I busted it open. One torso I was able to get a clean break but the other I could only jimmy it open enough to wiggle the arms out.
I was expecting a more complicated set up for the torso but it’s mostly hollow asides from a spring loaded latch to attach the swappin’ mech with.
I’m fighting the temptation to drill into my last Swappin’ Styles body and make a 6 armed lady doll.

Architecture from "the LAND of the BLUE EYES".
My lifelong thanks to my three Viking buddies from University of Montana... Arnstein Rustberggard of Gol, Klaus Urbaye of Oslo, and Jan Brentebratten of Chicken Falls (Honefoss) for teaching me how to love all things NORGE !!!
We began with a simple Carpathian Alps design known as Zakopane Style, after the alpine village of the same name in the podhale (alpine area) along the Polish/Slovakian border. From there we added architectural accoutrements covering a historical period from 1050AD to approximately 1920, in the modern age. We have incorporated door portals and shutter carvings from the old Stavkirke (Stave Churches) of Hallingdal, Telemark, and Urnes (Norway)... to roof details from the Novgorod/upper Dvina River Region of NW Russia... to window carvings from the old Prussia/Bohemian regions...... carved doors reminiscent of the Baltics, and various other folk details from the Hutsells of Ukraine and the goral (mtn people) in Poland.
This is Phase 1 of a larger compound to incorporate inspiration from European architecture as well as many such inspirations in our own High Sierras. Sites such as Vikingsholm at Lake Tahoe, the Hearst compound at Wyntoon, Rainbow Lodge, Sugarbowl, and Thunderbird Lodge.
