If the Guy 'Big J' in my previous post had something of an imposing presence and a good degree of styling, then this Strachans bodied Ford R192 was perhaps the antithesis. . . and this was designed for passenger transport not goods!
I don't know the exact purpose of the bus in the picture, did Pontin's collect their clientele from the railway station and take them to their camp / resort in it or was it for staff transport?
Bus Lists On The Web has EUR 357K as new to Pontin's Bournemouth. I'm not sure however where Clem Smith took its picture as he doesn't appear to have anything else taken in the town and he usually went wild with his camera wherever he went. No clues in the background either unfortunately.

The crowned crane is the most primitive of the living Gruidae. Primitive species of crowned cranes date back in the fossil record to the Eocene period. Archaeologists discovered that at least eleven species of crowned cranes once existed in Europe and North America. Because crowned cranes are not cold hardy, it is believed they died out in these areas as the earth cooled, and only survived in warmer Africa. --from the ICF.
The International Crane Foundation (ICF) is the only place in the world where you can see all 15 crane species. The ICF works to protect some of the most endangered birds in the world.
This Grey Crowned Crane would approach anyone who viewed his pen--an example of the strong territorial association that most cranes exhibit.

a new memorial under the first avenue bridge, near the fence. i have to go back and reread the name again. what i am getting at this point is Styles, Cerulta Sunshine not sure about the Cerulta part.
i was thinking it could have been a homeless man who died nearby?
anyone have any thoughts?
someone is paying attention to it as they righted the blown-over traffic cones after a windy night and added some flowers.
maybe a pet?

Lord and Taylor was closing in NYC so Jackie, Ryan and I went there with a ton of photo ideas involving the hundreds of mannequins they were selling. We were there for less than two minutes before we were told not to photograph the mannequins. So we went to an abandoned floor and took this photo instead. Special thanks to Ryan for posing and coming up with ideas and and Jackie for styling and coming up with ideas.
