I like to swap for a completely different set of decorations in February, March AND April... which means I need to keep things small & simple with our limited storage. For the front door, I made these cute little stuffed fabric hearts. On just a few, I transferred vintage valentines.
This is the finished stuffed zucchini flower finished off with a bit of freshly saved parmigiano reggiano. They were fried to a crisp on the outside and remained warm and creamy on the inside. I have never tried zucchini flower before but they are amazing and I see myself eating many more of these in the future! In case you are wondering they taste just like zucchini so if you like zucchini you will enjoy their flowers too!
Stuffed butternut squash with buckwheat and apple stuffing... an experiment with leftovers... Quite good!
You might think I'd be all about this one, but no. Offered to buy it for a friend who has a stuffed ovary but they didn't want it, so the uterus stayed there. Only $2.49. Also I love that it was in the children's section. UPDATE: In the context of what's going on in this country right now, I definitely regret not buying this. Grr.
