The picture was taken in a nearby business park. Some of the premises are pretty untidy and cluttered with overseas containers and other stuff. It gives an interesting composition from this point of view I think with the blue and yellow elements almost forming a line.
This was the very Passiflora flower from a plant my Mom planted from seed 2 or 3 years ago. She was excited about it and told me to go out in the backyard and look at it. As I was looking at it, I accidentally snapped it off... I left bad, so I brought it in, placed it in water... and thought I would experiment taking macros using my new extension tubes.
These were taken using a combination of my Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II lens, Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens and Opteka AF Extension Tubes (13, 21 and 31 mm).
