We were helping some neighbours with their snow-shovelling this winter, and they acknowledged the effort with some beautiful flowers. I feel the power of photography for us amateurs is that it gives us the ability to re-enjoy the receipt of gifts, gifts from the universe and of nature, the gifts from friends and families, even the gift we have been given as photographers, the ability to see what others do not.
I love the colours of Boston Ivy in the fall, and Sunday while out and about it was no exception ... I took some time to do a photographic study of the vines clinging to some limestone walls and wooden trellis'.

Haven't received the parts I ordered for G-WIP and happened to have time to play Lego, I tried another design of a mech head. This is a bit larger for G-WIP, so I will use this for another MOC, probably a SD style one.
A detailed study of the wheels and motion of a steam locomotive catching the setting winter sun. The locomotive is 45407, I took this in January 2012
part of this set doing extensive camera tossings of a colorful subject.

This was a difficult shot with wind and rain blowing directly into the lens, I had to quickly capture the moments between lens wipes.
