My Soulmate picking the right composition for her capture of this beautiful Mural in Vernon, B.C. It was a delight to view so many beautiful Murals while traveling British Columbia. A photographer's paradise, for sure!

On a recent backpacking trip I was blown away by all of the mountain layers in the North Cascades, I photographed this section in different light and ended up liking this midday version the best.

Another from the signal box tour and the New Street PSB panel, with one of the other chaps on the tour studying a bit of detail.
The signal box was only taken out of use at Xmas 2022, but as you can see the panel is a trove of detail from the 60s onwards.

I grew up with this portrait on my bookshelf. Initially I thought it's a portrait of Louis Aragon, since that's what the book next to it had it on its spine. But then I started reading (and re-reading) all his works, first in Russian, and later in English. I miss this old portrait. I need to get back to reading his works too.
A couple of firsts for me:
1) using a grid (it does help!)
2) using smooth bristol with CPs

Considering this a Rejected Build.
I made this in...July apparently, and I wasn't able to get any good photos of it (at least the closeups I wanted). The build was for Guilds of Historica on Eurobricks; I was going to us it as a story vehicle to introduce my character(s).
I've had this picture sitting around privately on my photostream for months now, but I figured I show it off. This is the only photo I now have of the build--a few weeks back my laptop crashed, and I lost everything (like all my photo hard-copies...) but a few things I managed to save (I got some Sentinel Images, but that's it). So this will have to do.

In other news, I'm still building away for Brickworld Fort Wayne 2015. Expected online post date is Oct. 22/23. Incidentally, I've not yet decided if I'll be posting all of it...as it turns out I don't actually have time to build a tables worth from scratch, so I was forced to finish up a WIP I was building for Brickworld Chicago 2016...not sure if I want to spoil that yet! And Monday comes my Creations for Charity build; just waiting on parts--but I'm very happy with it, and excited for everyone to see the finished product.
