This is what I got using the set up described here www.flickr.com/photos/caranxcaranx/5254468457/

The focus is on the eye of the lure, deliberately leaving the front part out of focus

This glass is one of only three left that were made and etched by my great great great grandfather in a glassworks in Sunderland England in the mid 19th century as a wedding present to his Daughter - these glasses are used on special ocassions only. Last used on Christmas Day.The wine by the way was a rather nice Chilean Shiraz!

Theme "The colors of your national flag"

Well, I got rid of the 18-200 and needed a new long lens, but this time I decided to spend a bit more and go for the quality stuff. I found this one used at a decent price and even though it has some dents in the body and the bayonet, looks like is going to do its job

For this shot I used a Lastolite Ezybox on top of the lens and a Lumiquest Softbox III on camera right. Both with SB00 and both triggered with CLS

One of my favourite picture from this series for Elisabeth. The sharp focus on her eye with the soft bokeh of her hairs body etc.

Plants for Peace. This peaceful pod is part of a "Plants & People" series that has been ongoing for a few years now, only now the plants seem to be getting political. This pod is from the Sonoran Desert near Tucson, AZ.

Taken at the studio of the Camera Club of Cincinnati in the Carthage neighborhood of Cincinnati. A member of my camera club, the Photography Club of Greater Cincinnati, also belongs to the Camera Club of Cincinnati which has their own well equipped studio arranged for a shoot at their facility. Local actress and model, Jordan was our subject. She gave us several different looks with different lighting and backgrounds. I had shot her before, but always with a white background and so was happy to get her in front of black. Other than the fact that I blew several shots because I had rushed down to this shoot from another and had not changed back from manual to auto focus even though I had tried to move the switch, it was a fun and successful shoot. Live and learn. .

Sometimes I like to change the angle of a shot and in this case I had a good reason for it. The paint and decoration of the back of the lure is worth a good look, this is whi I enhanced it by using this position.

I Touch Myself by The Divinyls. Chrissy Amphlett was one of the raunchiest women to emerge from the Australian rock & roll scene. She passed away this year on 21 April after a long battle with multiple sclerosis and breast cancer.

You're the one who makes me come running

You're the sun who makes me shine

When you're around I'm always laughing

I want to make you mine
