Shooting in a studio is definitely not my natural environment, but working with a beauty like Jade makes it a whole lot easier!!
One of the pleasant surprises of my first working studio weeks is - distance! It's really helpful to walk away from a piece, turn around and observe it from far away.
I never would have thought to do this when I was crammed in my house.
Tagged along to a studio photography night that Allan England was attending at Xtraordinary Photography Studio. I liked the look of a few photos Allan had uploaded recently (as always!) and as I have never been in a studio and always kept away from shooting people, I thought I'd give it a blast and learn something new!
Was totally out of my comfort zone and not used to using shutter speeds faster than 2 seconds! Chris Ord who ran the session made it nice and easy to slip into it, as did the models too. Having never been around lighting before, Chris and Siobhan (the model pictured) explained how the different lighting works and showed me the different affects you could achieve from changing shooting angles.
Very enjoyable session. Something I definatly want to get more into in the future! Although a bit nerve racking your first time!

Messy studio, with paints both expensive and cheap, a glass of IPA, and lots of photo albums for inspiration.
Besides Food and Beverages outlets, there are many stalls, push carts and mobile stalls around the Universal Studios Singapore them park, Resorts World Sentosa.
