Lowered the height and added a suspension. Also took off the turret, and replaced it with a boys anti tank rifle.
A parade of shops in Pennycomequick, Plymouth. This parade still exists, and the post office and shop on the right is now a post office and Londis store. The building just in front of the railway bridge is now gone. The camera position seems to be at the start of Central Park Avenue, so there is a roundabout in the foreground of this view now.
Postcard photo probably taken before 1920, although there are tramlines in the foreground. Perhaps someone knows when trams arrived in this road?
Here we have a shot of Coniston water. I'm sure most people have seen the exact same shot many times. I was there and thought I would have a go. You will also see how amazingly crap and soft my sigma 10-20 has become, and it is now ready for the bin. there will be another shot from Coniston hopefully going up in the next few days. and will probably be one of the last you will see from my sigma. RIP.
Mount Stuart House on the east coast of the Isle of Bute, is a Neo-Gothic house with extensive gardens....!!
Filmclub Moderne Zeiten zeigt:
Our next filmclub is an evening remembering Stuart Hall, who died on 10 February 2014.
This time the filmmaterial will be in English. The discussion will be in both languages.
Stuart Hall came from Jamaica to study in Oxford with a grant in 1951 and stayed in Britain. He was a teacher, activist and theoretician. He fell in love with Catherine, they had two children. From the experience of being Black and British he developed the concept of cultural hybridity asking what does 'identity' mean, and should we not speak of 'identities'?
In the English-speaking world, Stuart Hall's name stands for Cultural Studies today. Even before Margaret Thatcher was elected for prime-minister in the eighties, he understood how the specific form of neoliberalism which came thus to power would transform society by destroying structures of social solidarity and sharpen racist attitudes of exclusion. He fought this development with his texts, speeches and analyses.
He became professor at the Open University, an university open to those without formal qualifications. As an emeritus professor Stuart started to work with young Black people in the area of art, photography and film.
His analyses, which he liked best to develop together with others, always aimed at intervening in actual social processes. His introductions to Cultural Studies were sometimes shown on nightly tv-programmes because of the special ways in which the Open University worked. He loved it when a cashier at a supermarket addressed him because she recognized him from these.
Stuart was fascinated by the history of struggles on the squatting of the houses in Hafenstraße. Until the very end he used his capacity to critical analysis and reflection and was interested in everybody and everything around him. Last October, he was one of the first to sign a transnational appeal for the rights of the group 'Lampedusa in Hamburg'.

Whether you are dressing up your weekend look or taking a break from heels in the office, these Stuart Weitzman loafers are the perfect addition to your shoe wardrobe. They may be pre-owned but you could never tell from the shine of these shoes. The toe box does have some creases but there is no discoloration. It will probably up the comfort level since these shoes have already been broken in.
The low 1 inch block heel gives you just a bit of height with a lot of stability. There is a silver plate accenting the tops of the shoes. Stuart Weitzman is made of quality construction so these are sure to last through a few seasons. The classic loafer style will also stay around from season to season. They are marked as a size 8/1/2 AAAA, however, I am a size 7 1/5 normal width and they fit me a bit snug. I think narrow 7 or 7 1/2 foot would be a good fit for this shoe.
These shoes retail around $230.

this is a model of a Stuart Tank I was working on. It is just a prototype, and I am open to suggestions of how to improve it.
I have photographed Stuart before. He's an English major at Loyola University New Orleans. He started juggling at age 7 and uses it to help suppliment his income. If you are ever on Royal Street on the weekend, check him out.
