Just a detail showing the steel tubing structural support inside the FRP windshield frame - I probably just did it for sketching practice or to kill time.
The detail above left is a side view of the nose, showing the side marker lights nested under the edge of the top deck. As the car was finally built, the lower bodywork where these were to be attached wasn't there, so these lights were moved up an inch or two and attached to the upper deck. The bodywork tapers inward toward the front in this area, so that these functioned both as side marker lights and turn signals.

The spring exhibition in Metropolitan Museum of Art honored the work of the German-born designer Karl Lagerfeld from the 1950s to his final collection in 2019.
The career of Karl Lagerfeld spanned a remarkable sixty-five years, during which he served as the creative director of multiple design houses, including Fendi, Chloé, Chanel, and his eponymous label.
My favorite exhibition of the year which once again proved, Karl Lagerfeld was not only a brilliant fashion designer, but also a multi-talented and creative man.

This isn't the first time this has happened at our work building (see this photo taken from near the biogenesis lab last October), but anyway, we got a memo via e-mail today: "Due to the rain, the 7th floor awning is breaking apart and falling down. Security is going to close off the back portion of the parking lot."

people were all worried about the new ROM extension being able to support heavy snowfalls. well, it got a good testing on Sunday when we had a record one-day snowfall. i'm happy to report that it's still standing!

Years of neglect and improper roof drainage caused structural damage to the ship-lap sheathing. All problems were repaired and reinforced.
A slight pity about the scaffolding around the site, but it's there because Norfolk Archaeological Trust are conserving the remains, so can't really quibble.
