The coronavirus pandemic brought with it new challenges, such as the lack of sufficient availability on the market of personal protective equipment.
In response to the needs and also to prepare for such situations in the future, rescEU’s reserve of capacities has been broadened in March 2020 to also include strategic medical equipment.
Hosted in EU Member States, this medical stockpile delivered results in just over a month since it was created. FFP2 and N95 protective masks were delivered to Italy, Spain, Croatia, Lithuania as well as to Montenegro, the Republic of North Macedonia and Serbia from the rescEU stockpile. In total, some 520,000 masks have now been delivered and more will follow.

To mark the International Women's Day celebrations, Young European Ambassadors (YEAs) in Ukraine organised two interactive events for local youth in Lviv (29 February) and Kharkiv (7 March).
Together with well-known women leaders from the region, YEAs and the participants had a conversation about gender equality and women empowerment in Ukraine. They also discussed, which EU-funded opportunities are available for young women and men in the country.
YEAs are grateful for the support of special guests: Oksana Yurynets, Julia Hvozdovych, Hrystyna Kit, Halyna Fedkovich, Maria Mezentseva, Olga Chichina, Anna Sharukhina, Olena Kharitonova.

Well it's another year, another last photo of the year post. I've taken several photos while driving my car, but I'm always really conscious of safety. I was driving home from Sheri's place in the middle of the day and saw this "Stronger Together Forever" spray-painted on a church and just had to snap a photo. It turned out looking very antique cameraphone. Also, the homemade "We pay cash for houses" sign really expresses where we are right now.
