My original design. The body is crocheted batik fabric strips, the flap is crocheted recycled sari silk, and the medallion is crocheted perle cotton with a center glass bead. The straps are braided fabric strips. The backpack is lined with a repurposed patchwork knit t-shirt.
..From the Walmart deli, not bad at all! This was their "snack pack" which only cost me $2.48, and I got a ton of food. (hmmm wonder what the catch is and who gets the crumby end of the deal...) Anyways it was really good.
