Our neighbor's stallions are chasing the local Elk herd from their pasture and over the fence they leap!
She knew all too well
The battle over things she could not control
And the rule over anger
Would be won by the love in her own heart

I've taken a break from making minifigures. Strife was one of the last ones before then, and I spent an hour or so making Ares yesterday, but officially, I'm still on leave. :P I'm working on other projects, and one of them just so happened to need designs for these two....
There was much fighting and guarding of food for a while. But, when the bones had been picked clean, the wolves became a peaceful pack again.
Standing on high bluff that overlooks a bend in the Mississippi River in northwest Illinois, the Nauvoo Temple glows in the dark against the vestiges of an Autumn sunset. This majestic-looking and operational LDS temple is a faithful reproduction of the original Nauvoo Temple built by Mormon settlers in the 1840s... at a time when it was the gleaming centerpiece of what became in just a few years the largest city in Illinois. Abandoned after the Mormons moved west due to persecution and mobs, the temple was destroyed by arson fire in 1848 and by tornado-force winds that struck in 1850.
This HDR image was taken on the northeast corner of temple. Perspective problems with tall structures such as this are challenging in photography. While processing, I experimented with the Perspective Crop Tool in Photoshop to help correct the perspective problems. Not perfect... but certainly better.
As evidenced by the flag, it was windy on this evening. Normally, I would have brushed the flag in from one of the layers, but the the flag was blurred on all three of the photos that make up this combination of an HDR and Lightroom shot.

Luke Strife and Leia Lockhart are ambushed by an Imperial TIE Buster on their escape from Death Star Reactor 5.
This was built for the 6th and 7th days of Vignette Week, with the prompt "Star Wars + Theme." I chose Science Fantasy (specifically Final Fantasy VII.)
I love this build, because there are so many things hidden in it.
It focuses on an Imperial version of the infamous Air Buster from FF7 in a mostly Star Wars hanger.
The hanger has red highlights, reminiscent of Shinra from FF7.
It has an in game FF7 save point.
Cloud wears the uniform of his enemy, and Luke here has a Stormtrooper uniform on. He wields a lightsaber that is more sword shaped, and kind of oversized.
Tifa's iconic design has suspenders and a black skirt.
Final Fantasy games have a large mixture of English and Japanese text. While there aren't any LEGO options for Japanese, I used Chinese text to give that Asian feel.
The Imperial logo is set in a red square rotated 90 degrees over a dark red square. This is the basic design of the Shinra Logo.
The Stormtrooper's helmet has been replaced, with a more Shinra style one.

Cloud is always my favourite childhood character wielding the huge Buster and Fusion Sword. Enjoy the simple version.
Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy VII
So like 3 years ago or so, I formed a collaboration with ~Amadgunslinger~, who happens to be a fellow FFVII fan. Essentially it was to combining our skillsets together to make better FFVII figures. Still had the decals in existence, and finally got around to getting Cloud's torso design applied on blue (which sadly came out darker than expected, but that's ok). Had the boots and brick stand to go along with it to make him look more official. The buster sword is one of my old and outstanding mods which I seriously plan to have resin casted and the pauldron is a modded BrickWarriors armor. Hair comes from knockoff fig.

Two whole years! And you're still alive! Yaaaaaaaay! I haven't accidentally killed you or mutilated you yet. It must be fate.
Happy anniversary HANI!
“I pity you. You just don’t get it at all. There’s not a thing I don’t cherish!” ~ Cloud Strife
Was feeling a bit nostalgic today, pulled out my old copy of FFVII which was the first Christmas present given to me by my future wife, I ran though the last battle and figured I should give a shot to good ole Cloud :P
yep the internal struggle with everyday decisions...
thanks for looking in...appreciated......best bigger......hope you have a Great Day
GB Railfreight Class 92, 92028 leads the late-running Caledonian Sleeper Up Highlander service through Winsford. The service was 107 Late at this point, due initially to problems at Edinburgh, but then a further half hour delay at Preston due to OHLE over-supply issues.
It wasn't the worst affected, though - 043 failed at Preston with the Down Lowlander (1S26) due to the OHLE over-supply issues. 014, which was on the rear of 1S26, then failed as well when it was being run around to take the train forward. 1S26 eventually departed 206 Late from Preston, with 014 hauling a dead 043. To round off a night to forget for the Sleepers, the loco then failed on the Aberdeen portion (1A25) and driver issues delayed the Inverness and Fort William portions. The Up Lowlander (1M11) arrived on time at least...!
