A pair of Northern Gannets at their nest.

The male on the left had just returned and the female started to shake her head from side to side as if saying "Where have you been for all this time?"

The male then started to dart forward excitedly towards the female, beak agape, but never got too close.!

A few days later the female laid her first egg in the nest.

The head shaking is behaviour I have seen before but I have never managed to capture it on camera!.

The physical sun is the realm of the higher souls of the more pure and evolutionary in the Cosmos. Your soul has to be very pure and high evolutionally to be able to enter the heavenly realms of the Sun. All the other angelic souls go the Moon realm and planetary realms and the non so evolutionary souls go to the Nether worlds below Earth, to the Patala underworlds or Ades of the ancient Greeks. Below Ades or Patala is Naraka what we call Hell worlds or Tartara in ancient Greek.

The souls that live now in the Sun realm we may call them gods for they are responsible and guardians of the Earth and the planetary worlds. The fate and destiny of the Earth is in their hands and they control its fate.

Now we enter the Solar maximum when we have many explosions of the sun in the form of flares bombarding our Earth and its (magnetic) atmosphere. These flares now have significant power and energy energising the Earth and its inhabitants. The flares that hit the Earth in this period of Solar maximum will have a great spiritual and energetic and purifying effect in all beings now living on Earth. The physical beings now living on Earth even the plants and animals will have to be purified in order to withstand these higher energies coming from the Sun. Not everyone will manage to withstand these purifications waves coming from the sun and many will succumb to them not being able to withstanding its energies for they have not been prepared by God to handle these high elevated energies. Many will suffer from illnesses and various karmas not being able to handle these purifying energies. The purification of the energy of the sun will continue non stop through this year and the next till all that remains on Earth is purified.

Many souls knew this coming and had prepare themselves by purifying their bodies with pure sathwic foods and purifying their minds and heart with godly thoughts and sentiments loving all Gods creations. The Avatar of the Lord also descended on Earth and gathered the lovers of God beside Him the previous decades and gave them the instructions and teachings necessary to purify their souls and bodies to be able to withstand the purification rays coming from the sun this solar maximum.

From this purification that is now happening from the Sun rays and flares all the consciousness on Earth will rise to an unprecedented level heralding the Golden Age of humanity and closing the Kali Yuga of wars and strife and vengeance among the souls now living on Earth.

The Earth and its inhabitants are now entering a new Era of peace and love and truth and justice after this purification ends in the next two years and only those who will withstand this purification happening now will continue to live and inhabit the Earth.

Only deva, that is God like people will walk on the surface of the Earth during this Golden Age of humanity called by the Veda as the Sathya Yuga, the Age of Truth.

So do not be afraid and in panic for the gods living now in the Sun realm know what are they doing and how they will use the flares that are ejected by the sun. They hold the destiny of Earth in their hands trusted by the almighty God fully in unison with Him. At the right time a big flare will emanate from the Sun that will finish the purification process and then Earth and its inhabitants will shine in a new splendour, the splendour of the Golden Age of Truth !

Black Tempest

“Living is strife and torment, disappointment and love and sacrifice, golden sunsets and black storms. I said that some time ago, and today I do not think I would add one word.”

Please don't worry, this pic is not a depiction of my mood or circumstance today!

It was a bit cloudy and rainy here today, and that made for a dramatic sky... but a bit of Photoshopping and *presto*! A tempest appears.

I love the quote, and I do believe this pic is quickly becoming one of my fav's. The more I edited the more I got that butterfly feeling in my stomach... it was really turning out cool! There was no cutting or pasting, just lighting and other layering :o)

*Edited to my heart's content* (and completely ecstatic with the result!)

Meghna River, Narsingdi, 2010

Second Valley South Australia

Amazing clouds flew over after dawn at Second Valley a few weekends ago. I imagine what this would have looked like if occurring at dawn!

Peul (Fulani, Fulbe, Fula) herdsmen with traditional wide-brimmed fibre-and-leather conical hats meet at the weekly market in front of Djenné's Great Mosque. A colourful multiethnic gathering of herders and traders converges at the mosque from the surrounding regions and fertile flood plains of the Niger River inland delta in central Mali. Digital film scan, Asahi Pentax Spotmatic, shot directly under the noonday sun, circa 1976.

The Great Mosque of Djenné towers over the market in a seemingly apocalyptic backdrop on this day. The mosque is considered the world’s largest adobe building and one of the greatest achievements of Sudano-Sahelian architecture, unique to the semi-arid Sahel zone that stretches across northern Africa just south of an encroaching Sahara.

These Peul herdsmen are likely from the class of “free nobles” (mostly nomadic herders, religious and political leaders, some tradesmen and sedentary cultivators) at the top of a highly stratified caste-based Peul society.

Ethnographers distinguish this class from lower-tiered occupational groups or “castes” (griot story tellers and song-praisers, artisans, blacksmiths, potters, woodworkers, dress makers) and descendants of slaves (labourers, brick makers, house builders).

Postrscript - The enchanting Arabian Nights imagery emanating out of this ancient marketplace at the time if this photo shoot (1976) is reminiscent of a seemingly bygone Sahelian era devoid of smartphones, credit cards and packaged safari tours.

Nowadays, nascent tourism is on hold and easy access to markets, pastures and farmlands is hampered as ethnic strife and inter-communal violence continue to erupt under a fragile or failed Malian state with a troubled history of military coups.

The current military junta relies on mercenaries from the private Russian-backed Wagner Group for its security needs, coinciding with the recent French withdrawal of troops from the region. By providing protection to the Malian military regime, the Moscow-centered paramilitary group has increased its power and access to Mali's scarce natural resources.

In 2018, Human Rights Watch reported that the Mopti region of central Mali has become an epicentre of inter-rethnic conflict, fuelled by a steady escalation of violence by armed Islamist groups largely allied with Al Qaeda’s advance from the north since 2015.

Recruitment to the militant Islamist movement from Peul pastoral herding communities has inflamed tensions within sedentary agrarian communities (Bambara, Dogon, Tellem, Bozo and others) who rely on access to agricultural lands for their livelihood.

Predominantly Muslim but opposing ethnic self-defence militias on both sides have been formed for the protection of their own respective communities. This has contributed to a continuous cycle of violent attacks and reprisals touching villages and hamlets, pastures and farmlands, and some marketplaces.

While communal tensions are profoundly connected to a larger ethnopolitical conflict unfolding in northern Mali, chronic insecurities around the ancient town of Djenné and in the broader central regions of Mali are exacerbated by longstanding indigenous concerns over a struggle for scarce natural resources - agricultural land for settled farmers versus water and grazing land for semi-nomadic Peul herdsmen.

Efforts at mediation in the area around Djenné and the grand mosque include a Humanitarian Agreement specifically among Bambara and Bozo farmers, Dogan "hunters" protecting farmers' interests and Peul herders, all committed to guaranteeing the freedom of movement of people, goods and livestock in the "Circle of Djenné" situated in the Mopti region of central Mali.

Life gave me a little brother

to teach me about life.

He loves me,

Aggravates me,

and gives me strength and strife.

Thank goodness for my brother

He is as special as can be

Don't mess with my little brother

- or you'll have to mess with me!

The weather was a wee bit dreich when I took the photo but it created some drama as the storm clouds swirled around the mountain top. "The Dionysian myths are amongst the oldest and most potent stories that link mankind with nature. Not only do they serve as an insight into ancient civilizations, but they also articulate truths of human nature that resonate with veracity to this day - beneath the veneer of everyday society lie dark and powerful forces of unpredictable magnitude, brutal passion and fragile mortality are present so frequently in situtuations of war and strife"

Life in the big smoke.

this is the pathway for the powerlines, it has been recently slashed and the long cut grass lies in patterns

Sgurr na Stri, or the Hill of Strife, is well named. At one time it marked the boundary between clan territories, and more recenty in 1982 claimed the lives of a F-111F crew who flew into the southern face during a night exercise. Taken on Fuji Velvia, whilst standing in the surf at Elgol, Isle of Skye.

have a good weekend everybody!

Death is such a mysterious concept especially a premature death. There can be beauty in death. Sometimes it is physical other times it is within. I am fascinated by the idea that one day we will simply not be as we once were…anymore or ever again.

Death Poem: By Douglas Denzine

what must it be to pass, deceased

to stop all this seeing and go beneath

do they give you wings to rise back up

or are you left with all your senses shut

are there any answers to this puzzle

do you become your heart muscle

are there lines waiting to get out

is there hell like everyone is talkin about

do you meet jesus or simply just stop

your bones dust and blood begins to clot

is there a way to make peace

send back all of your love at least

do we do it alone or with friends

with our family or do we just pretend

what it must be like to never be again

How will you go?

RUBBLE AND STRIFE Divorce row husband Ian Clowes ‘blows up house’ with him and his wife inside after she won legal battle and ‘was having him kicked out’

In continuation of the series...this is the spot where Parley Street in Nauvoo, Illinois meets the banks of the mighty Mississippi River. In February 1846, the early Mormon saints traveled down Parley Street to the frozen river and crossed into Iowa as they fled from violent persecution. From there, they continued westward into the wilderness and eventually settled in the Rocky Mountains.

We know from their accounts and journals that many of them turned to look back at their beloved city and the gleaming temple on the hillside in the bend of the river, knowing that they probably would never see them again. In December, they had completed the building of the temple enough for them to receive their temple endowments and begin entering in celestial, or eternal, marriages.

Today, there is a dam further downstream, so the river is now wider than it was in the 1800s. A memorial at the end of Parley Street overlooks the river and contains the names of nearly two thousand saints who died on the difficult and perilous journey across the early American frontier, through the mountains, and into the Salt Lake Valley. There, they built the city of Salt Lake City, Utah. Since that time, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has spread across the globe and now has over 16 million members.

Carved from Basswood...about 18" tall...one piece of wood

When the legs are down....

My anxiety's clawing

Out from deep within me

It burns within as my throat begins to cauterize

This negativity's leeching

Any shred of composure

Rationale has decayed and left me bound in madness

I reach for calm

I starve for a balance unknown

This burden tortures me deep in my soul

I've found that strife won't make the bleeding stop

Nor will it take away the pain

I feel like this search is all in vain

And I struggle to find my way

I've wanted a Cloud Strife figure since I started playing him as my secondary in Smash Ultimate. I wanted a 6 inch Cloud, but sadly, all the 6 inch ones are funky looking.
