Finally I'll bare it all. No makeup on my flushed swollen face, and a belly covered in surgery scars and stretchmarks...

[3/52 POM] - SOMETHING I AM NOT FOND OF

8/30 DAYS OF RANTS & RAVES

My Stretch Marks

From 12 years old, I have had stretchmarks on my thighs and bewbs. I fell pregnant when I was 21, I used hemp butter everyday on my belly and my first pregnancy stretch mark appeared at about 35 weeks. I was so proud of it, then along came alot more and by the time my daughter came along, one day overdue, my belly was a mass of craters and valleys.

I have tried many creams/oils to get rid of them but nothing has worked. They are just a part of me forever I guess.

Not fond of them anymore.

Abdominoplasty or tummy tuck is an operation that elevates, redrapes and tightens the abdomen and waist. Excess skin is removed via an incision hidden within the bikini line and the muscle is tightened resulting in a shaplier figure and flatter stomach. Liposuction especially of the love handles is usually performed at the same time and stretchmarks below the level of the belly button are removed. Some tightening of the thigh and buttock skin is also achieved.

A friend of mine wanted to see the new little stretch marks, so here they are.

I'm huge from the side.

Move the mouse over the lower, left corner if you don't see the stretch marks.

This is one of those raw shoots that besides from some color fix nothing else was added or taken out.The image shows what the reality holds and nothing less or nothing more.

It’s not often but at times I feel like I need to shake myself back into reality and I wish I could bring some people down with me.I wish I could make some of them see that the way they think, speak and act are nothing other than the product of how society told them to be,how they were taught, how they were brought to what they are today, and that somehow, they are very much wrong.

I am not the one claiming to be right but I just claim for the right to be who I want, how I want. The way I dress,my weight,my age,my choices in life define solemnly the person I have been, the person I am and the person I will be,so sticking up your nose in someone’s life when it’s not in the intention of doing real good or being a critic in a constructive way,is not right.

You can tell someone they are fat but if they feel right with themselves what’s the point of changing?Yes,they can do it,but if they want to do it that’s up to them and mostly that’s something that they have to do because they want to,not because you told them to.

You’re obviously not going to tell someone to grow up when they are naturally short,or to get hair when they are naturally bald,so why interfere with someone who feels right just the way they are? It’s something natural and maybe you’re the one lacking that confidence to be yourself.

I am certainly not trying to moralize anyone into my ideas but I am just saying that I feel good with the way I am,chunky tights, narrow waist but that is still large, big hips,I feel good,I am okay and if I ever get to lose weight (which I want just for health reasons) I will do it for myself, not because X,Y or Z told me to do so. If you don’t love me you can go somewhere else, but if you do you see me as a whole not just the number that the scale shows.

Sooo beyond done with this haha.

Someone, please shoot me.

This is what I woke up to find....

When my best mate first saw these she said I looked like I'd been attacked by a tiger!

Not quite that bad but the girls certainly left their mark on me!

I probably spent too much money on this oil that purports to prevent stretch marks.

Yes, I know that all those products are scams. But hope springs eternal!

Plus, it smells nice and it's fun to rub my belly.

Today's FGR group selection was My Three Words. Take your pick:

- I am fat

- super flabby belly

- must lose weight

- highest weight ever

- started diet yesterday

- after four babies

- can't see toes

- stretchmarks are ugly

I have decided to throw in the towel.

I can't keep up with it anymore...its like everyday, something new is preventing me from getting a shot.

Or being able to post it.

So this is the end.

I started this naked ( www.flickr.com/photos/msdiamondfarah/3194729398/ ), and Im ending it as such.

Goodbye 365, you're just another failure.

-D

PS: no, this is not the end of me, no worries.

I'll start a new project when I know I'll have a whole year to post without gaps.

Day 152 of 365

Today's picture was a big risk for me. While I'm very proud of my weightloss, I'm very, very self-concious of both my stomach and my upper arms. My stomach (although hard to see with the textures) is wrinkly and shows that I was once bigger. The sit-ups and crunches I did helped, but I don't think I'll ever be happy with my stomach.

I took a risk today for FGR and Bringing Sexy Back. I also did it because of CurriousIllusion, whose picture today gave me the courage to do this. Thanks Ari!

Random Fact: I was proud of my stomach for a short period of time after my weightloss, until I showed my stomach once and got laughed at. They didn't know my story, but it still hurt. I'm hoping that after I have kids I'll love my stomach, because then the stretchmarks will have a happy memory attached.

Re-visiting a popular one, this time with something more than a phonecam.

This is another one of the cliched shots that I like ;p

Reason? The 3 of them are shown here - Roy and Michelle's hand on her tummy where their lil baby is currently residing ;p

Yea, yea. Have been told that it's technically incorrect with the highlights being totally burnt out. But, but I still like it ;D

Will take note and try to do a better job next time :p

I also received some comments from friends who were freaked out by the hormone line, saying that it looks weird. It's a natural part of being pregnant and not something I will photoshop out. Reckon that pregnant woman are beautiful in all their glory of bumps, stretchmarks and voluptuosness :)

Day 157 - The price I paid for the best friend I have ever had. My body changed so drastically, stretching 100 pounds in weight and deflating again, the skin ripped and torn, the blood clots that ravished my left leg, my beauty faded... none of those things matter when I think about what joy it has given me.

Aadon is the brightest shining star in orbit. He is the sunshine breaking through my cloud. He is the driving force that keeps me marching forward. I would not have changed a thing. I would pay this price a thousand times over.

Maybe I will never come to terms fully with what my body has become. But at least I must TRY. Such a large community of 365ers trying to know themselves, to reflect and love themselves. I am amongst them trying to come to terms. I was crying when I took this photo. Aadon came into the room and said "Mama, pretty? pretty..." and shook his head yes. In that moment, he convinced me that what was in the mirror before me was not ugly at all... I love you Aadon.

I've been having a very hard time accepting that pregnancy was not (physically) kind to me. The solution? Chronicle this destruction & rebirth of a body.

For FGR (I am beautiful) and TRP (best viewed on black).

Six weeks after baby #5. Not happy....yet. Starting exercise regimen today.

Nice MILF (Mother I'd Like to Facialize) - She's divorced and got a 9year old son. She was totally shocked when I told her to kneel and stood down in front of her starting to wank myself off. The saggy tits and the stretchmarks didn't bother me delivering a huge load all over her closed eyes

Stretch Marks are a common sight these days in pregnant women, obese people, weight lifters and people who have lost substantial amount of body weight in short span of time.

Stretch Marks appear as linear streaks on the skin that has been overstretched, and they run perpendicular to maximum lines of tension in the skin.

What are Stretch Marks:

These are scar marks on skin that develop when collagen and elastin, two proteins that keep skin healthy, are damaged.

Stretch marks begin as flat red lines, and they appear as slightly depressed white streaks over time.

Stretch marks rarely are a sign of a significant medical problem and are generally painless.

Where they appear:

You'll find stretch marks in many different areas, including the stomach, chest, arms, hips, groin and butt. They typically begin as pink or red since blood flow to the area increases in response to the damage, over time, they'll become translucent.

Stretch Mark Removal

Everyone wants Stretch Marks be gone in no time but as they appear slowly they go slowly.

There are a wide variety of treatments to get rid of stretch marks, but none of them seem to be particularly valuable in preventing or treating this condition.

The use of physical modalities such as lasers, ultrasounds and micro-needling may show some results, but currently there is little evidence that any such treatment is safe and effective.

Topical Treatments

The market is full of topical products like Stretch Mark Creams, Stretch Mark Gels, ointments, oils etc that claim to be benefitting in Stretch Marks Removal. As a consumer one needs to be very careful in selecting the right product that is not full of harmful and harsh chemicals which might be more damaging than helpful in removing the Stretch Marks.

Home Remedies:

Internet is full of home remedies suggesting stretch marks, pregnancy marks removal that lighten skin tones and provide soft smooth skin.

Starting from using Aloe Vera to Baking Soda or rubbing sugar and oil to using different home-made masks, there is no evidence that these home remedies would work to your satisfaction. Though using natural products may generally not be harmful but experimenting with your own skin may not be a risk worth taking.

It is best suggested than to look out for products that claim Natural Actives and Premium Ingredients that are proven to work on such skin conditions.

Stretch Mark Creams or Stretch Mark Oil that are formulated with precision and care to give user the best experience and which is Safe and Natural.

A Brand that comes to our attention in this arena is VIGINI that claims to be using 100% Natural Actives and use best quality premium ingredients like Shea Butter, Kokum Butter, Vitamin E & B5, Green Tea Extract, Hemp Seed Oil, Collagen, Avocado & Argan Oil and Hyaluronic Acid.

Ingredients in Vigini Stretch Marks Cream are proven for their efficacy and help in scar removal, encourage collagen production and increase elasticity. Vigini Cream gets completely absorbed and enters the epidermis, locks moisture, helps regenerate news cells by removing dead cells. It helps tighten the loose saggy muscles with just 5 minutes of massage twice a day.

For best results start usage at the earliest and continue for 2-3 months or till you see the desired results.

My belly has served a great purpose. It has carried two children and I have the battle scars to prove it. I have been playing with Lightroom and that is the only reason why I would post a photo of my mid-section.
