The Caillbotte brothers Gustave (1848-1894, painter) and Martial (1853-1910, photographer) lived in the new districts of Paris designed by Baron Haussmann and witnessed the urban transformation which the city underwent during the latter part of the C19. They were fascinated by symbols of modernity such as bridges and railways, and the hustle and bustle of the Parisian boulevards was one of their favourite themes.

Looking across the Seine from Pont Louis-Philippe towards the north west corner of the Ile Saint-Louis and Notre Dame on the Ile de la Cite.
A strange juxtaposition. In fact the "Chinese" building is a C20 conversion of a C19 "belle époque" house.

On a quiet corner at the western end of Boulevard Haussmann stands a statue of the man for who the boulevard is named. Between 1853 and 1870, as Prefect of the Seine, Baron G.E. Haussmann was Napoleon III's chief planner for the city - the man who made Paris Paris
One benefit of being a photographer is being able to spot the accidental or intentional interaction between people who are total strangers in a public place. This can be both interesting and educational, sometimes emotional, and often amusing. The waiter, passers by, seated customers and family of tourists reading the menu board all played a part and interacted with the others in small ways that even they were not aware of....a scene in the show of everyday life. La Vie est un opéra, n'est-ce pas?
One of the most iconic monuments in Paris.
A short photo tour to Paris - explored the city of love in 16 hours and photographed the streetlife of Paris.
This was taken at 5:30am in the morning from the window. I had a lot of trouble taking a reasonable photo without a tripod.
The Tuileries Garden is not just a feast for the eyes but also a cultural hub. Dotted with sculptures by Rodin and Maillol, it blends the beauty of nature with the brilliance of artistic expression, making every visit a visually enriching experience.
when we were in paris a few years backs my dad kept saying he was going to get one of these roast chickens... when I saw them I had to snap a pic.
It seemed that everywhere we turned there was a sight to see - I'm not talking about Tony LOL - this sculpture was to good to resist a photo opportunity.
... The streets of Paris ...
Rue de Paris - 17th and 18th century.

One of the Travers le temps sections. Vintage shops, facades and decorations constructed just like how it was in the early beginning of modern-day Paris. Nice vintage posters decorate the walls, the few streetlights illuminate the scene. Even the train accident at the Montparnasse trainstation can be seen.
