Shirttail Stream rises in the mountains above Kingston and empties into Lake Wakatipu near the old steamer wharf. The steep track to the lookout crosses it once, but if you venture away from the path you are rewarded by cascades and waterfalls like this one.

Spent a wonderful day in the highlands of Chartreuse on the edge of the Alps. SEE how the rocks are also like water, when water itself is held immobile by light capture
This group of interesting Kilroy-like sculptures were formed over millions of years in the creek bed just downstream from Double Drop Falls.
A rocky trail follows this stream up into the hills. Eventually to it's origin at Sargent Mt. Pond. A large birch tree frames the scene on the left.
Chunbuldong valley (Biseondae trail)
Soraksan National Park
Gangwondo, South Korea
The Biseondae trail and the Chunbuldong stream are running close to parallel together. Therefore, one can enjoy the sound of the running water and admire the views this beautiful valley has to offer at the same time. I advice visitors to take their time, slowly take in all the sights and sounds, as the journey is much better than the destination. You might miss a lot of photographic opportunities if you just rush through the trail!
In this shot, clouds are rolling in, hence providing nice soft light. With the added help of the CPL filter, the exposure time can be slowed sufficiently for the water motion to be captured. A tripod is a definite must!

Printed off a free 10 mile walk around Crowborough for a change. It was very good lots of different paths and a few minor roads but very enjoyable. Lots of byeways and paths through woods and passed some very impressive houses.
One of the woods had a stream running through it and I had a tough climb down the ghyll to get this image.

Even minor rain events will cause small perennial and ephemeral streams to swell. The water, which is normally clear, becomes cloudy with sediment.
