Passing cars on the mohakhali-flyover road in dhaka........

Grey's River Road was an incredibly scenic drive, and definitely worth the time, if you have it. It's a dirt road, which starts out very well maintained, but gradually gets more rough and rocky. Several times, we had to get out and remove medium sized rocks from the road.

We drove south on the road until we decided that we'd had enough 25 mph driving and turned back to US 89 via Smith's Fork Road. We plowed through several snow drifts in the first two miles of the road before getting to some that were too deep even for far better equipped vehicles than ours to pass through. We turned around and headed south via the Lander Cut-off.

The Lander Cut-off was a much more difficult road than Grey's River Road had been, requiring slower speeds to navigate around large rocks and snow. I have to imagine that it would have been impassable by all but 4wd vehicles a few weeks earlier.

Overall, it was an exciting and fun drive, but one that consumed far more time than I had planned.

A map of the drive can be found here.
