While we were in the Kawarthas, we did a couple hikes through the Silent Lake Provincial Park. I wasn't expecting to see much in the "deep woods" but it turns out that was my favorite part. There were many little water falls, streams and ponds throughout the woods. Great hiking area

A side stream at the bottom of Ragged Falls Provincial Park, Ontario, Canada.

This is a HDR of 5 long exposures all shot with a 18-55mm lens@40mm, with Nikon 4x ND filter, at f22 in 1 f-stop intervals and merged to HDR to really emphasise the detail in the rocks and algae. The correct exposure (+/- 0 EV) was then softened and once again overlaid the merged HDR and set to 25% opacity to add back some the silkiness to the moving water and the overall mistiness to the image that was lost during the HDR process.

January 18, 2012 Snow storm in Olympia, WA. I almost hated to create tracks

I changed the tune in the photoshop to make the pic more greenish. The softness made by open-aperture and under-exposure gave the dizzy look. Nice pic!
