This little stream runs through the forest not far from Whitehorse in southern Yukon. I photographed it on a fall morning in Spetember after an overnight snowfall.
Photo shot with the Canon EOS R and RF 24-105mm f/4.0L mounted to a tripod. I also used a circular polarizing filter and a neutral density filter to increase exposure time.
A long exposure of a stream.
Bit about me, I'm a 15 year old photographer, I love photographing wildlife, landscapes, pets, urban scenes, and other things that really interest me!
This stream has been revealed because the silt in the lake is being dug out. Before it could be dug out it had to be drained - rain and snow causes little streams to appear.
This peaceful mountain stream was photographed is western North Carolina near the town on Andrews. See this, and more, on my website at www.tom-claud.pixels.com.

DJZ_3716-Edit: Road 15 connects to US14A in two places . . . at Burgess Junction (where US14A breaks off of US14) and 16 miles west of Burgess Junction. I prefer to drive an extra 16 miles to the upper end of Road 15 as it is 1,100 feet higher at 9,300 feet, than the Burgess Junction connection at 8,200 feet, so you are driving down hill most of the way on Road 15. Road 15 is 25 miles long. This is in the Bighorn mountains, in north-central Wyoming, USA. US14A is closed in the winter.
As the sea retreats, the sea water returns creating beautiful streams along the beach. I found this as I took a morning stroll along Skegness beach.
It's been many years since I've spent autumn in California, so naturally I've been traipsing through the mountains and enjoying the changing colors. I've heard raving comments about the color out in the Eastern Sierra this year, but alas I haven't made the long drive out that direction. Here is some aspen color (and perhaps some cottonwood too?) closer to home along Cold Stream in the Truckee area.
There were some Jeffrey pines nearby which smelled like vanilla!

Maybe the original Polynesians lived here. The mind easily conjures ancient spirits.
Find myself beside a stream of empty thought,
Like a leaf that's fallen to the ground,
And carried by the flow of water to my dreams
Woken only by your sound.

And carried by the flow of water to my dreams

Alone I've walked this path for many years,
Listened to the wind that calls my name.
The weeping trees of yesterday look so sad,
Await your breath of spring again.
Far beyond the hills,
Where earth and sky will meet again,
Are shadows like an opening hand.
Control the secrets
That I've yet to find, and wonder at
The light in which they stand.
Far beyond the hills,
Where earth and sky will meet again,
Are shadows like an opening hand.
Control the secrets
That I've yet to find, and wonder at
The light in which they stand.
